We just returned from our stay at this marvellous inn. We arrived very early, but fortunately our host said our room hadn't been stayed in the night before so was ready. He warmly greeted us and checked us in. The location was great, the rooms clean and comfortable, but the real plus of this inn is the staff, especially the front desk people (owner, his wife, and their delightful friend Blanche). They were all friendly and knowledgeable about local restaurants on the island, and able to engage anyone. Blanche is not only a very warm and friendly host, but she is a wonderful cook and we were treated to some of her delicous baking. We were just as glad about not having breakfast there as there were a couple of good places within a 5 minute walk.
A very highly recommended place for anyone.

This inn is a great value. The husband and I stayed in one of the smallest rooms, Room 4, and you know what it was small but perfectly adequate. Was nicely decorated, had a comfortable bed, snacks and water in the room, and a tight but perfectly useable bathroom with a hairdryer. I personally wouldn't have wanted to pay for anything bigger. Madison inn is perfectly located, next to the Oak Bluffs dock, all the restaurants and shopping of Circuit Ave, and the island shuttle. Everyone who works at the inn is incredibly nice and helpful. There's no breakfast per se but there's fruits, granola bars, and coffee at all hours, and pastries in the morning. We also took advantage of the board games in the entrance. My husband and I have stayed at a lot of B&B's around New England. This one was smaller with fewer amenities, but MV is expensive and for its relative price, has everything you need! Highly recommended!!

Recently my girlfriend and I visited Martha's Vineyard and stayed at the Madison Inn in Oaks Bluff. We were on a 2 week roadtrip. Out of all the places we stayed this was one of my favorites. Our room was so adorable. The innkeepers were so friendly and helpful with our many questions. It is just a short walk from the ferry and I mean short. Martha's Vineyard had been on my "Bucket List" for some time and I am happy that the Madison Inn was part of that whole experiance. I would highly recommend this Inn to anyone looking from charm and personality in a place to stay. It was quite fitting for our Martha's Vineyard visit. I was not disappointed and I don't think you would be either.

This inn was in a very convenient location, walking distance from the ferry. We did not take our car onto the island and didn't feel we needed one. We were welcomed warmly, and offered glassware and ice for our own wine/cocktails. There is a nice patio for smoking outside. There was no breakfast served, although coffee and fruit was available.

The price seemed high for a small room with few amenities, but this was Martha's Vineyard after all, and everything seems to be costlier than off island.

I would recommend this property and would consider staying there again should we return.
