“Best option in the Boston suburbs”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 25 January 2012

I can easily write about the consistent quality of this hotel, as I've been staying here for a number of years and probably have 35-40 visits under my belt. If you don't need to stay downtown, the Hampton Inn in Norwood is the best value anywhere is the area. Their rates are lower than even some inferior Hilton properties further out in the suburbs. The entire facility is exceptionally clean and quiet. It sits right on Hwy 1 and is just a couple of minutes from I-95. They offer a free breakfast with several choices, like other Hamptons, and there are several restaurant options within minutes, as well as a very good Italian restaurant right in the hotel, which is quite rare for a Hampton. Finally, the staff is friendly and attentive, and will go out of their way to help you. There are many options in Boston, like any major city, but I have made this property my hotel of choice during my frequent business trips to Boston.

Room Tip: There's an excellent sports bar and grill right across the street, as well as Legacy Place, an u...

“Not bad for a business trip...but what is with the lumpy comforter?”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 22 January 2012

Overall not a bad product. The people at the front desk were very pleasant even if a little muddled. The two young women were slightly confused checking us into our rooms, however in fairness I think they were being trained. The rooms were clean and well sized - but the down comforters were just bizarre. There were two beds in my room and both looked the same...I thought must be some reason. The others in my group all commented on the same thing and we finally concluded that they were washing the down comforters and each sewed off section maybe 12 or 16) just had a lump of feathers in the middle. It was strange and a bit uncomfortable, new comforters would improve the sleeping experience immeasurably.
The lobby had warm cookies on the desk - and the breakfast was Ok with fruit cereal, some hot offerings and 2 make your own waffle areas.
There is an on site Italian restaurant that is well above the typical business hotel offering. Service and food were very good and they had a nice wine list - definitly would eat there again.
All in all a good choice if you are on business or passing through Norwood.

“Christmas Getaway”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 18 January 2012

Excellent hotel, cookies waiting in lobby, reception desk was excellent, got to room and reception called to make sure everything was as expected. Room was great. Breakfast was good. Well worth the price.

Room Tip: A little bit off of the major highway, restaurant next door so can walk for dinner.

“Very nice stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 January 2012

I took my daughter & some of her friends (11 & 12 yrs old) as a Christmas gift. The indoor pool was open in the evening and the girls were in the pool for 2 hr. The room was clean, plenty of towels. Front desk gave us extra shampoo. the beds were comfortable. The free morning breakfast had many choices including make your own walffels. The pool isn't open in the mornings because the town requires a guard at all times. The General manager who is certified for the pool let the girls swim for about an hour in the morning. Great service.

“Good Value Close to Gillette Stadium”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 27 November 2011

Stayed at this hotel after a Patriots Monday night game. I am originally from the area, so I know the location well. It really was the perfect stay for our needs: convenient (not too far from the highway); centrally located (right on Route 1 and a quick ~15 minute drive to the stadium, lots of shops and restaurants in the area including the lovely Legacy Place right up the road in Dedham); a comfortable night sleep (quiet hotel, cozy bed); and a quick fill-up the next morning via the complimentary breakfast (never stellar at Hamptons, but perfectly sufficient). We got a great deal so I feel the value is excellent (why pay more for a hotel closer to the stadium? The drive from Norwood is a cinch.). Rooms were typical Hampton Inn decor and perfectly comfortable & clean (if just a tad bit tired). The staff was friendly and efficient - easy check-in/out. Parking is plentiful. I would likely stay here again.
