I have stayed at the Norwood, MA Residence Inn more than a half dozen times in the last several years and I must say each visit has been just fine. On a few of these occasions, including our last visit in December 2011, upon check-in I was informed our room reservation was not initially what I had booked. Still, the front desk clerk was able to make adjustments so I got the right size room on the right floor (so a tip: if you book well in advance, call a couple of days before you arrive to make sure this property has reserved the room type you desire).

Those enormous American breakfasts, included in the room fare, are fabulous. My family really enjoys the suites with the kitchenettes (so convenient when traveling with kids), which are also very clean with everything is in good working order.

I have never tried the indoor pool/spa, and the exercise room is just adequate.

The location is great; right off Rte 1 in Norwood and close to local shopping as well as a manageable drive from both Logan and Providence airports. I also really like that the hotel is situated a bit back from the highway, accessible through a short side road, so traffic noise is inaudible.

I arrived very late and left early. The night desk clerk was more efficient and welcoming than night clerks on average tend to be. The room itself was exceptional. Very spacious and comfortable. I almost wish I was staying more than one night (except for the breakfast).

I had to hurry out to an early morning meeting, so I caught their free breakfast buffet in a whirlwind and got on my way. The breakfast was the usual, mediocre, free food that one would expect in a roadside hotel - but not in a Marriott Residence Inn. It was hard to make healthy choices.

My advice: use the in-room kitchen to cook your own, or go out for breakfast.

I stayed recently and really enjoyed it. Staff was very friendly and helpful with directions. Evening social time was a great idea but I did not have time to participate. Room exceptionly clean and loved the larger flatscreen tv on turntable so when working at desk or at table you could watch. Pool very warm and hot tub was hot (in some of my experiences this is not the case) I will be checking out Residence Inns on my future trips in other areas.

This was our second stay at this particular hotel. And this time was no different then the last time. A great hotel and a great location. This time we were here for 4 nights in a one bedroom king suite. Great size, full fridge, full stove, microwave, large king bed and pull out couch. Hot breakfast each morning, eggs, waffles, sausage, potatoes, yogurts, bagels, etc, enough food to definitely kick start your day. There is a small indoor pool which we didnt use plus a workout centre. There is many restaurants close to this hotel, all along Providence highway. We had no issues with the front desk or cleaning staff. Room was always clean when we got back to it. I would definitely stay here again.
