“Many pleasant surprises!”

Had a wonderful stay at this hotel which was also the venue for a conference I was attending. Common areas are nicely decorated and have lots of big windows and natural light. My room was clean and comfortable, great bed with a "just right" mattress, duvet and pillows. Ate only at this hotel for the 5 days of the conference and was very impressed with the quality, freshness and variety of food available. The chef came out to visit with us after we extended our compliments through our waiter. Very impressed by his knowledge, ingenuity and genuine enjoyment of preparing food for the guests. All of the servers and wait staff in the dining and banquet rooms were exceptionally attentive and incredibly friendly. Front desk staff were also always willing to go above and beyond to be of assistance. Finally, really, really appreciated the little wooded area and beautifully laid out nature walk adjacent to the hotel. This was such a treat and I am so grateful to the folks who had the insight to create this lovely little oasis where we could wander along the path enjoying the ducks and geese on the pond as well as the lovely little benches perfectly placed for occasional peaceful stops. Had a really wonderful surprise when 3 white tail deer appeared out of nowhere. Do take advantage of this lovely little wooded paradise during your stay.

“Nice hotel and conference facility”

Stayed at the hotel and attended a conference there. Not a bad place to stay for a good price. The floor I stayed on had two commercial fans blowing all night, which made it a little uncomfortable and it created a weird smell. Other than that, not a bad place to stay outside of Boston.

“Nice Family Overnight Get Away”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 December 2011

We took advantage of an offer for MA residents to stay close to home. We took our 3 kids for a surprise overnight to enjoy some family time and the indoor pool. Some confusion at check-in as the phone reservation rep told me that the cot would be included, and the included brunch was for all members of our party - at check in however I was told that there was a charge for the cot and that only 2 party members would receive the Sunday buffet ($15/person). However, the check in rep was kind and provided 5 vouchers for the buffet to make up for the confusion over the buffet and the cot. :-) The room was clean and nicely appointed. The beds very comfy. Two nice comfy chairs in the room in addition to a desk and chair. The pool was enjoyable in the afternoon, however, a very large birthday party was held on the pool deck in the evening including a buffet dinner (attendees were adults and multitudes of children and teenagers). The pool deck was crowded and full of plates, etc. The pool was mobbed with screaming kids and not at all enjoyable - so full that there wasn't room to swim at all - the pool was taken over by this group from dinner until the pool closed! The gym is small but sufficient. We did swim the following morning and the pool was nice and quiet with only a few people using it, but there was a lot of hair floating in it (from previous nights huge crowd I imagine). Sunday buffet was very nice and service was excellent - made to order omelets were excellent! Overall, it was a good stay. But I wish we'd known that the pool area was rented during our selected weekend with such an overwhelmingly huge party - the pool was a big draw for us and we'd have made our get away another weekend to avoid that party.

Room Tip: No view as you are on a highway with view selection between highway, industrial park, car sales lots...

“Great for business travellers”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 December 2011

I've stayed many, many times at this hotel as I often attend corporate training and seminar events at the attached conference centre.

The rooms in the "old wing" were recently renovated. Unfortunately they are a bit small by North American standards, but are very clean, have a flat screen TV and a nicely appointed washroom. The rooms in the newer wing are much larger but had an old tube-style TV. Overall the rooms are very good, clean and in good shape.

The pool and exercise room are also a nice touch, with decent equipment although at peak times it gets quite busy.

The attached One Bistro restaurant has a good selection but the menu has remained mostly unchanged over the last few years. The hotel also offers a free local shuttle bus which is very useful as there really aren't any restaurants within reasonable walking distance.

I'd recommend this hotel for business travellers and would definitely stay here again.

Room Tip: Some rooms on the second floor have windows that lead directly out to the pool. They don't open...
