The internet advert to which we responded showed two adjacent rooms with a view over the beach and water. The rooms allocated had no view at all. They were also minging - musty, dirty and with breached double glazed unit and ripped insect screen. Both the sliding window and the room door had been left open prior to our arrival but the rooms smelled terrible despite this. We were given one alternative room but both still left a lot to be desired. My room had an aircon unit (slightly below ceiling height for maximum inconvenience) without a grille and there was a huge spider's web above it, so clearly no cleaning had taken place for some time. Our towel rail fell off the wall whilst we were out so our towels didn't dry. Furthermore the cleaner had not been in apparently because her car didn't start! The lady in charge said she should probably have cleaned the room herself but as a half hearted response to our complaint; she told us we were "fancy" because we expected clean towels. The replacement towels did not look clean at all and were delivered in a heap. A family in a nearby room said they have visited repeatedly but always take their own sheets. The owner's son seemed to materialise with his laptop at any point when we were complaining but said nothing. I now realise he was obviously busy making up spurious replies to other dissatisfied customers. Overall, a very bad experience and the best part was the relief at leaving.
