“They Embrace Canadians”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 November 2011

We stayed there with two adults and two teens and they hung a Canadian flag anticipating our arrival. I have been going there for 18 years with my family, my parents and my sister, and have never had a problem. After 15 years we brought up our cousins and their families and they have been back every year since. The rooms are well kept and clean and the cottages are very quaint. The owner Sonia is very reliable and will fix anything as soon as she hears that something has gone wrong. There are laundry machines so you can do laundry if needed and there is a shed to store bikes just across the street. The motels are always kept in pristine condition and are very comfortable. Motels and cottages both have decks that look out onto the very beautiful skyline of Provincetown. It is a vacation you will cherish for a lifetime.

Room Tip: book early all the rooms are great

“Quiet fall weekend in North Truro”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 16 October 2011

I selected this motel for a one night stay (by reading info on TripAdvisor) on the Cape when we couldn't book the B&B we had stayed at last year in Ptown. I wanted something near the water. This place is charming, clean and the staff was great - very friendly and helpful. We got a great recommendation for dinner Friday night (Montano's) when we decided we didn't want to go back to Ptown. Montano's was right down Rt. 6. Fabulous jumbo lump crab stuffed flounder!
It was very quiet, since it was mid-October. We enjoyed walking the beach (when it wasn't raining!)
I would definitely stay here again.

Room Tip: we were in a motel room. I don't know what the cottages or efficiencise were like, but the motel...

“The Way the Cape Should Be”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 14 September 2011

Stayed for our usual week --fourteenth year. Well run spotless place with out the glitz. Cottages, an apartment and motel units--everything usually booked solid with repeaters during the season. This not a party place--quiet solitude with a beautiful convenient location. Sonja and sidekick Miss Bunny with the crew run a very exceptional place and really do want your vacation to be perfect.. No disco or flashing lights-- pass by if that's what your looking for.
This is bay front--has its own beach. Short ride to National Park beaches.

Room Tip: Apartment is perfect for two with a view that can't be better. Best motel units are the higher...

“Won't stay anywhere else”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 February 2010

We have returned year after year and my family and I won't stay anywhere else. Always meeting repeat visitors - many who have, like us, have found this the best place to stay in N. Truro. The many people we've recommended it to have also loved it. Clean - very clean, friendly yet not intrusive, convenient and reasonably priced. While I haven't stayed in the hotel (just the cottages), I have had friends and family who have and they rate it very high. Can't wait to go back this summer!

“TERRIBLE: Bed bugs, no money return, uncivilized owner!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 January 2010

Our family with 2 little kids visited this motel in July 2008. We had the room #1, in front of the motel’s office where the landlord works as a receptionist. This old lady was very nice, but once we've got a problem in our room she became very brutal and rude…
We checked-in and paid for 5 nights. On the fourth day we understood that there were bed bugs in our room. We were bitten and started itching from the very first night but initially thought those were mosquito bites. We haven’t realized it faster since we never met bed bugs before, but after fourth nigh when we couldn't sleep because our body was bitten more and more we did some internet research (the motel has free internet access) and matched our multiple bites (see photos, we have much more) to pictures online. After that we found dead insects under our mattress (see photos). But the worst thing happened in the morning when we told the owner about the problem and that we wanted to leave. She just crushed them by her fingers and said: ”Those are not bedbugs. I know what are bedbugs and we never had them here. You were bitten by sand fleas or mosquitos”. Rows of bites mostly concentrated in batches and many of them in places not accessible to mosquitos suggested us the opposite. I was shocked!!! We wanted to leave immediately and receive our money back at least for the night we haven’t used. No way!!! This woman said that if she will lend our room to somebody today then she will send the money to us to Canada. Ridiculous! No worry about bed bugs for new visitors!!!
In addition I would like to say that one couldn’t swim on the beach near the motel, because there are so many algae on this side of the bay (see picture), so that you can’t even see the beach sand. The beaches on the other side, in about 3km from Truro and closer to Provincetown (Herringcove and Race Point Beach), nevertheless, are very nice but the parking there is $15/day. In Provincetown there is also one of the best whale watch tours in North America.
