This is such an inspired and lovely hotel. There are not many places to stay in North Adams, and this place really brought their A game.
They took a row of old mill worker's housing and turned it into a chic hotel. The decor is a mix of period and arty contemporary. By this I mean luxurious beds, and gorgeous but spare baths, with flour sacks for curtains.
It is a bock from the Massachusetts Museum of Contemprary art, and makes the overnight a lovely experience.
In the morning you can recieve a metal lunch pail with a thermos of coffee and a roll and juice. Nice.
They even allow dogs.
Outdoor swimming ool, even in winter.
This is the old mill town we all want-the one David Lynch would like.
It is fairly cheap, and will impreswsw the hell out of your date. Plus, best contemproay art museum in the country, I swear!
