My husband and I needed a quick, local get away after the madness of Thanksgiving so we headed to blue. I had always wanted to stay there and the November prices were just right. It was LOVELY.

We stayed in Cottage 61. Here is the hotel's description "Cottage 61 is located just across the street from the main inn and features one bedroom with a king-size pillow-top bed, separate living room with a pull out queen size sofa and a wood burning stove, full kitchen, flat screen televisions, DVD player, and a private widow's walk to enjoy the breathtaking views of the ocean. Maximum occupancy is 4 people"

It was so much more than that. It was all white, immaculately kept up and detailed- the fan above the bed is made of sailcloth, breakfast is delivered every .morning to your own room in a picnic basket, the ground is covered in sea glass and the setting is one of natural beauty.

If I could, I'd hide out here for a year. Just perfect!

Room Tip: Cottage 61 has a widow's walk! Very cool.

“Leaving made me blue!”

Great boutique style Inn perfectly situated right on the most beautiful section of the beach. Every last detail was thought of. From the complimentary beverages, wine (glasses and opener), robes, candles, ipod/phone docking station, fridge with ice made, oodles of selections of flavored coffee, tea, hot chocolate in the toom and a picnic style breakfast delivered to our door. Two Jacuzzis, private area on the deck outside your door to sit and watch the ocean. Felt so pampered, relaxed... Never wanted to leave.

“So nice to be alone!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 January 2012

We started our vacation at a big resort/spa earlier this week, but ended with a two night stay at a most relaxing, peaceful getaway. Our own little cottage with woodstove and all the comforts of home! My kinda getaway!!! Of course, no crowds because it's winter, but I'd definately go back in the high season.

Room Tip: The actual "inn" has rooms that are all waterfront, but I liked the quiet little cottage a...

“Wonderful even in early December”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 18 December 2011

My husband took me to blue The INN on the Beach for my birthday, the suite we stayed in was on the third floor, oceanfront, beautifully appointed with comfy king size bed, lovely living area looking over the beach, we enjoyed a beautiful moonrise and again sunrise in the am. The staff was very accomodating. Cute little breakfast delivered in picnic basket. Great deal in the winter as well. I would highly recommend it.

I recently stayed at Blue for the holidays while visiting family in Newburyport, i was a little apprehensive after reading some of the reviews below, however after staying, I can say they are completely unfounded. We had an AMAZING time, Upon check-in I was greeted by some very nice young ladies who really took to the time to thoroughly answer all of my questions regarding the area as well as the property. I stayed in an suite on the ocean and it was really spectacular, coupled with new Sony TV's and fast internet, I could not have been happier. My girlfriend and I were excited to find a complimentary bottle of wine (which she immediately opened)we then went and hung out on the deck followed up by a nice soak in the hot tub. After spending some time with the family, we decided this place was too cool to leave, so we extended our stay. After browsing the DVD collection, we grabbed an action movie and chick flick, cuddled up on the couch, cranked the fire and got some very needed rest and relaxation. Stunning location, Clean rooms and amazing customer service....Already booked for summer 2012
