A few months ago I was thrust into the role of event coordinator in planning a 180 person Conference to be held at the Holiday Inn in Marlborough. It should be noted I work in state government so the hotel had to jump through hoops in just dealing with the bureacratic process involved in contracting and planning. I worked mainly with Stahr, the Sales and Catering Coordinator, during the planning and she was amazing in handling everything from menu and equipment changes to walking me through the room layout and ensuring everything was within budget. On the day of the Conference, Claudio, the hotel's A/V guy did an outstanding job of setting up for the day's presentations and displays and continued to help us throughout the day with our various requests. The catering staff, especially Edie, were great and the chef let us adjust our menu count last minute since more people showed up than registered. All in all, the staff were professional, flexibile, and accomodating. I'd recommend this hotel to anybody in the area looking to plan a Conference.
