“Beautiful getaway”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 31 October 2011

We just had our 2nd annual family gathering at Notorious Annie's and highly recommend. The views from every window are amazing! The Inn is walking distance to great shopping and restaurants. We enjoy the short walk to Fort Sewall providing even more gorgeous ocean views and the quick drive over to the lighthouse. This year the weather on our 2nd day wasn't great but with the spectacular views from every window and the fantastic deck it didn't dampen our enjoyment. The owner, Janet, is great and provides lovely home baked muffins, coffee and juice in the am. The full kitchen and pool table are a plus.

“Delightful Stay!”

We just made our second visit to Marblehead and had a wonderful time at Notorious Annies! It's right on the water and the views are fabulous. We enjoy seeing all the moored sailboats and Marblehead Lighthouse in the distance. It's really something. There are only two rooms and we've stayed in both. They're both very nice, clean and spacious. If you're looking for the quaint B&B experience this is it! We'll be back!

Room Tip: We've stayed in both rooms. Jack is bigger and has a pooltable and a bigger porch with a wider...

“Charming, romantic spot; harbor breezes, impeccable service.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 27 July 2010

This is a terrific inn, run by the personable and efficient owner. The suites are beautifully appointed in an eclectic and tasteful style, with amazing views of Marblehead Harbor. It's lovely to watch the sky and sea change from morning to night - I took the best nap of my life on the daybed with the breeze floating across and the curtains billowing! Front Street is walking distance to everything and the parking is right in front of the inn. Delightful breakfast, complete privacy and a claw-foot tub provided a wonderful soak after a day of sightseeing. I highly recommend Notorious Annie's to anyone looking for a great New England experience any time of year!

“A wonderful experience”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 October 2009

We stayed in the Annie suite and it had gorgeous views. The bedroom had two full walls looking out onto the harbor and a balcony. I echo all of the wonderful things the other reviews have said of this B&B. Being from Texas we certainly felt like we had the east coast quaint B&B experience. Janet was extremely nice. The only negative thing I have to say is the bed was EXTREMELY hard. Not just a little firm, hard like cinderblocks were under the sheets. My husband and I both were achy the next day from a very uncomfortable night of sleep. Usually I can't peel myself out of bed in the morning, but that wasn't the case here. I only mention this because everything else about the B&B was five star so it was really odd that the bed would be so awful.

All in all I am glad we stayed here for the experience, however I wouldn't stay in the Annie suite again due to the bed. Perhaps the Jack suite has a better bed and if it does I would totally stay there again!

Notorious Annie's owner/manager is troubled by this guest review's opinion that the mattress was too hard. It is in fact a top quality Sealy Posturepedic mattress rated "firm," with a top quality Sealy Posturepedic box spring underneath. There have been no other complaints about this mattress from any guest, and, as responsible owner/manager, I have personally tested it out, spending several very pleasant, comfortable nights on it. I can only imagine that the reviewers were experiencing some extreme sensitivity, and hope that our prospective guests will not be unduly influenced by this review.

“Beautiful View and Suite”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 October 2009

We stayed at Notorious Annie's because of the reviews and our desire to stay somewhere with a view from the room. We got the view and more. Annie's Suite was (1)a bedroom with a full view of the bay; (2) a small porch where you could sit outside and enjoy the view; (3) a large TV room with a sofa and day bed plus (4) a big beautiful bathroom (large soaking tub and an big shower) decorated with Jack's sports photo collection. The continental breakfast was served in the suite- warm muffins, juice and a pot of delicious coffee. This is not a B&B that offers a lot of interaction with the owner or other guests but it is a real treat to stay in such a stylish place run by an active talented owner.
