“Stay Away!!!!!!!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 24 October 2009

My wife & I travel quite a bit and this is by far the WORST B&B we have ever experienced. First, when we checked in, I felt like I was bothering the owner. We were told our room was on the board on the other entrance. Like we knew!! Then we were advised we had been "upgraded" to the Cottage. She never showed us to the room or asked if we required any assistance. She just pointed to it. It was a small two story building in the back yard. It was cozy, but filthy and we never received maid service the whole time we were there. If we ever get back this way, we will definately not stay here!!!!!

“Best experience all around!”

Traveling with a small baby, 7 months, was challenging enough. Finding the perfect location for proximity, comforts and price proved much easier when we found Oceanwatch. Diane gladly accepted our baby as a guest and reminded us of the kitchenette area to wash her bottles and the refriderator for storing her food. Every morning there was a large decanter of the best coffee, fresh fruit and the towns famous pastries. We ate on the third floor balcony and let the sea air float in around us. The second floor room has ample space for a babies bed and floor space to encourage exploration. The location is amazing. The farthest one can drive East in Marblehead, ending at the bay, where many fourth of July celebrations occur right there at the park. Paul and Diane were extremely hospitable and kind. We thoroughly enjoyed our choice and would eagerly return to Oceanwatch.

“an enchanting visit”

recently my husband and I had a weekend getaway to my home town Marblehead. We stayed at Oceanwatch located where the harbor and ocean meet. I have been in love with this location for sometime. It was enchanting. Our room was charming, the views were spectacular and the location allowed us to walk to great shops and places to eat..

The innkeepeepers were most pleasant and helpful and respected our privacy. We made a pact and told the owners that we will make this an annual event as we found it to be a wonderful mini vacation.

I'm generally not a fan of bed and breakfasts, especially with young children, but the Oceanwatch is different. The home and grounds are beautiful and inviting. The views are spectacular and there is so much for us to do around the inn.The couple who owns and runs the property are as nice and helpful as any hosts I've ever met. We can't wait to go back!

“A Classic New England Oceanfront B&B Experience”

My husband and I went looking for a romantic anniversary week-end away from the kids and we were totally enthralled by the house, its setting, and the town of Marblehead. With unbelievable views and great little nooks and crannies of beaches and restaurants all within walking distance, we couldn't have chosen a better place to spend our anniversary.
