My husband and I stayed at Fox Pond B&B this past Saturday night. This was the second time we stayed here and we were not disappointed. Ted's B&B is a lovely getaway. We were warmly welcomed by Ted when we arrived late Saturday evening and he showed us to our room- the Canton Suite. It is a tastefully decorated suite with a comfy sitting area and four poster bed. The best part about the room however, is the bathroom. The floor is heated, there is a jacuzzi bath tub and a beautiful Chinese decorated sink. There are various lights and switches and you can play around with to dim the room and give it atmosphere. We overslept in the very comfortable bed and had a good breakfast in the morning. This is the best place we have stayed in the area and recommend it to discerning guests. We enjoyed our stay and plan to return.

We have been repeat guests at Fox Pond, most recently between xmas and New Year's 2011. I am a "header" born and bred, and now live with my family in Maryland and come back for visits. Ted's B&B is a wonderful home away from home. The rooms and grounds are terrific, and Ted is a friendly, gracious host. We have stayed in the Cloud room (in the front) and in the Canton Suite and found both to be great.

We were surprised (and dismayed) to find that the B&B's ratings had slipped somewhat due to some recent reviews and with which we could not disagree more. It is important to recognize Fox Pond for what it is, a homey B&B, and what it is not, a hotel. If you are looking for a hotel or a more "hotel like" inn, this is not the spot for you. If you are looking for a true B&B experience, you could not do better. We found the rooms to be clean and well furnished, and the breakfasts to be good.

Do yourself a favor and give this B&B a try during your next visit to Marblehead.

We stayed at Fox Pond B&B in the fall of 2010. (The link below re. when we traveled doesn't include 2010) I was distressed to read the negative reviews because we had a lovely experience there in every way. I guess you can't please all of the people all of the time but we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Many reviews were glowing and I agree with those. The grounds are beautiful, especially the pond, Ted was gracious, the dog was adorable, I love the homey atmosphere of B&B's and I've stayed in many. Don't hesitate to stay here!

My wife and I needed a nice little get-away for a couple of days in July and the Fox Pond B& B was just what we needed. Nestled in a quaint little Marblehead neighborhood we found our room in this B&B to be very clean with an extremely comfortable bed and a wonderful little nook where we could sit together and watch TV at night. The innkeeper was very friendly and hospitable to us from the time we arrived to our departure. A plentiful breakfast in his scenic backyard sitting area started our days just right.
