The Pink House is hard to rate. We absolutely adored the innkeepers, a couple of seventy-year-old empty nesters who've converted their former children's rooms to guest lodging. Our room was clean but could use some updates. Only one outlet worked and one of the bedside lamps was burnt out. Nevertheless, breakfast was fine - scones, coffee, juice, and fruit crepes with plenty of sugar. Nancy and James are great breakfast conversationalists. They have all kinds of interesting insights on Marblehead; plus, Nancy has painted every square of town in watercolors which decorate every inch of wall. All in all, a bit of an odd experience, but also quite pleasant and memorable.

My sister and I enjoyed staying at this intimate B & B for one night while in the area for a family party. The older couple hosts have lived here as their primary home for many years and sleep upstairs in their bedroom just across the hall. It is just a 2 room B & B with a shared bath. However, it was a delightful time for we 2 sisters as we thoroughly enjoyed a lengthy Sunday brunch at the dining table with the hosts, the Fergusons, eating delicious homemade fruit crepes and berry scones. They are a well-traveled and intelligent couple who were interesting to sit and chat with. The accomodations were very clean and comfortable. I would come again for sure, but maybe not with my husband as it was not very private. I definitely felt as though I was a guest in someone's home. The house was filled with Mrs. F.'s artwork and was of Victorian achitecture as is prevalent in Marblehead. A very pleasant experience at an appealing house!

Staying at The Pink House for the 4th time is was an absolute pleasure! The room was, as always, clean and cosy. The highlight of our stay is breakfast, everytime a treat with Nancy's scones or pancakes. Always accompanied by fresh fruit, coffee and juice.
Nancy and Jim are wonderful people and perfect hosts.
We hope to be back again soon!

We felt like we were staying in the awkward company of a couple whose children had left the house and now they were "renting" their children's bedrooms and small bathroom and calling it a B&B. And that's ok but only if they charge half the price.
