“Cozy and comfortable”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 January 2012

I have stayed in hotels in the town of Lee for business trips. The Pilgrim Inn is very convenient as it is right off the Mass Pike. When you first walk through the office doors to check in for a night stay, you feel a warm cozy atmosphere from the room. The tables and chairs are set up nicely with a breakfast nook and beautiful granite counter tops with wood finished cabinets. The desk clerks are very nice, and the rooms are clean and priced exceptionally low. The feeling you get when you enter your warm room is relieving, and the moment you pull back your covers and slip your feet into clean white sheets feels great after a long day in the car. I would recommend this hotel especially when the weather gets warm for the beautiful outdoor pool. I am new to trip advisor, but I figured I would become a member because I do travel very often. I love to write and I love reading about others, but the comments I have read are somewhat deceiving. I have never had a bad experience at this Inn; the staff are friendly, the rooms are cheap, and the beds are clean. What more could you ask for?

“Pilgrims wouldn't approve either”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 26 July 2011

We stayed here one night. When we checked in the room was sparsely furnished and unremarkable, especially after seeing the web site pictures and descriptions. The bathroom had to be an afterthought - you had to close the door to move around - and it showed signs of age that were not appealing. The outside temp was in the high 90s and there were signs recommending not leaving the AC on when you stepped out for a while. The price was the biggest outrage - we paid about $190 for accommodations that would not warrant more than $80 tops. This was a shoddy room with virtually no amenities - even the WiFi seemed spotty and slow. Could have used a sofa or another comfortable chair instead of the bed. There were no usable outlets to charge phones, etc. This was a ripoff and we cannot recommend it. If the rest of the place is in this state, it is in need of a major refresh if they think they deserve to charge these prices. At least chains have standards - this is an independent.

“I'd rate 3.5 if they allowed it”

Not bad at all for the price. Clean, pretty comfortable bed. The room had a mini fridge which was a nice surprise. The guy behnd the desk was pleasant enough. He gave me the room right by where I parked which I thought was a nice gesture.

“Don't stay there. They have bed bugs!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 September 2010

My partner and I stayed there on Saturday, September 4th, during our cross-country move. In the morning we woke up with small bites that grew throughout the day into hard welts. I am certain that these bites were from bed bugs. 4 days later, they are still here and they hurt and itch. This was the only motel we stayed at during our move. When I called to explain the problem to the motel, they didn't seem to believe it and informed me that they have pest control every month and then told me they would let the manager know. At the very least, I think I should've gotten a partial or full refund and more importantly, some kind of guarantee that they would take care of this before other travelers stay there.

“Just fine.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 19 August 2009

This place was fine but not great. My husband and I stayed in Lee, MA for only one night - so it was Ok for such a short time. The website is very misleading - with the music and scrolling picutres of nature hikes - I imagined that this Inn would be very picturesque and tranquil and I did not find it to be at all. It was basically just another motel like any other you might find along a busy street. It was clean enough to be comfortable - but it did have some cob webs on the cieling and dust on the air conditioner. Our nieghbors were really loud and annoying - but that is not the fault of the Inn's staff. The amenities were nice - shampoo, coffee maker, etc... The room and bathroom were very big - big enough for my husband to bring his expensive bike into and still we did not feel crowded at all. The pool was very nice, and the beds were comfortable and clean.
