As others have mentioned this Courtyard is right smack next to the Hyannis Mall, and on a busy street. But it is set back a bit, and noise from the road was not a problem. This seems like an older Courtyard, that has renovated the lobby and dining room, but has not (yet?) done much updating in the overnight rooms.
PROS:
Free wi-fi, connecting was a breeze
Attractive spacious lobby
Very nice dining room, with some larger tables for families, tucked into alcoves
Breakfast was fine, with some made to order items, cost (if not incl in your rm pkg) was $12 for full buffet, $8 for cold items
Coffee and tea available in lobby
Good size pool, with lots of natural light
Good reading lights near beds
Bed comfy, plenty of pillows
Refrigerator (also noticed some rooms had microwaves, ours did not, so ask for one if you're interested)
CONS:
Room smaller than most Courtyards that we've stayed in, so narrow you could not push chair under desk and get by the bed, had to put desk chair beside desk to maneuver by the bed
No easy chair or table (other than desk)
Furnishings tired and bland, wallpaper a dull, unattractive gold
Toilet and sink in bath are low, not more current "comfort" height
Shower/tub is old fiberglass unit
In bath, lots of visible messy caulking on ceiling, around tub enclosure, on floor
No closet, just pole to hang clothes
Rooms lack any character, and need general updating
We only stayed one night, and paid a discounted price for the room. Would definitely ck out
other hotels in the area if we return and need to stay more than one night.
Room Tip: Make sure you're room is not near the swimming pool, if you want a quiet room.
