Book reservation via Hotels.com in July and was billed immediately for it. Checked in to hotel in late August. Room was to be a non-smoking room w/ two queen beds. Appears from outside this hotel puts up families for extended stays. Only other car in parking lot had two flat tires and appeared to be in it's final resting place. We should have taken that as our first bad sign. We were on upper level which had an exterior entrance via a covered walkway. Lower level had many kids toys, bikes and adults sitting around outside - not what I am use to seeing at a hotel. Upon entering room, it smelled of old smoke. Window was open and on the sill were ashes. Upon examing bathroom found someone elses hair - many of them, behind the door. Room had not been well cleaned. Friends who live in the area indicate this hotel is frequented often by the cops. We left and requested our $ back, however, same needed to come from Hotels.com. But manager refused to credit Hotels.com at first, but after a long process taking two months and involved attorney general of the state and corporate office of Days Inn, but just received notification manager has credited Hotels.com and they will be crediting us for a full refund.
