Stayed for a brief, 12-hour stay. The place was new-ish, clean, the staff was good humored, the beds were really comfortable, and even the roll-away bed was comfy. Surprising how much we all liked it.

I've stayed at this Howard Johnson twice and each time was very pleased with both accomodatons along with the attentiveness of their staff. The most recent visit was December 2010 and my stay was extended due to blizzard condtions and a flight delay. I have nothing but the highest complements for this Inn.

We checked in late. Were given a room floor below reception. There was a very strong musty smell in the room. We asked for a higher floor (ground floor rooms are more likely to have high concentrations of mold and dust mites). We were shown another room (Same floor as reception. Due to the slope of the land the rooms on this floor are also on ground level). The smell was just as bad. We wanted to speak to the manager and were told he was not there and unavailable till morning. They offered us 10% of the rooms. There were no other hotel options at that time. We returned to the first room, opened the sliding door. The parking lot was right up to the door with a view of the dumpsters. The blankets are worn, musty and dusty. The TV remote did not work. The following day we wanted to speak to the manager but were told that he was not there yet (10 am). Being an allergist and a CEO of a site rating hotels for allergic and asthmatic travelers (AllerpassMD) I have to warn allergic and asthmatic travelers to stay away from this hotel.

My husband and I stayed at the Howard Johnson's the weekend of my sister's wedding. The hotel was clean, the room comfortable. When I booked my mother's room, I requested a smoking room for her. It was huge!She loved her room. We were there while the weather was still warm. The air conditioner in my room kept my husband and I up during the night it was so loud. I thought the breakfast okay but it was advertised as a hot breakfast, which I assumed was a full breakfast such as sausage and eggs. Instead, we were offered toast, English muffins, and yoghurt. The hotel should have offered fresh fruit as a healthy option. Also, it was strange to me that the only working soda machine was in the lobby. The other vending machines, one of every other floor, were not working. On a positive note, my 80 year old mother was going to be staying an extra night but because the hotel was so far from the wedding reception venue, she wanted to cancel the extra night. The staff were very understanding and helpful.
