My husband, son (8) and I stayed here while visiting family. The room was just basic- 2 beds, tv, desk and chair. It was clean although a picky traveler might find fault with the very outdated bathroom with broken soap dishes and a few chips in the tub. I didn't care about that because it was clean and usable which is all I need for $65/night. It was quiet there which I was glad for because I was kind of afraid it was the kind of place that young people might come to have fun at if you know what I mean, but it wasn't at all. I highly reccommend for someone who just needs an inexpensive place to stay for a night or two.

I grew up in Granby and have gone by this motel thousands of times without giving it a second thought. But when we made plans to visit relatives still living in this small town, we read the reviews and decided to stay there for our visit. The motel is run by a young couple who seemed quite friendly and helpful. Our room was cozy and yes, the bathroom was dated - but spotless. I was unable to hook up to their wireless system since our room was at the end of the motel. But since I didn't need it, it wasn't an issue. The motel is located near many restaurants and malls - but you have to drive to get to them - only a couple pizza places are within walking distance. Would we stay there again, definitely!!!

Based on the only other review here we chose to stay at this motel. We were less-than-thrilled by our experience.

We are very familiar with budget motels, we expect them to be no-frills, clean, and adequate. This hotel met those expectations. The reasons for the lower rating are the following, in order of severity:

1) the smell in the room. Despite it being October the in-window air conditioner was running, as was a fan to the outside. We stopped them both and opened the windows as wide as possible. We never lost the smell.

2) the operator of the motel, possibly the owner, completely forgot that he'd taken my reservation that morning over the phone. He tried to convince me I'd made my reservation elsewhere. We happily offered to leave but he insisted we stay. Over the course of our conversation he began to remember aspects of our phone call that morning. However, if he hadn't put my credit card information somewhere to be found later we would have left. I wonder where my credit card information is now?

3) the condition of the room. I don't expect glamor at this price, but I was dismayed by a sagging sofa, sagging bed, and evidence that the false ceiling (which was once clearly a sound barrier) had recently fallen in.

To the operator's credit, despite giving me a reservation he was not expecting me, and seemed a little reluctant to give us this room. Perhaps this room is rarely rented? I hope so.
