Exploring the many coves along this stretch of Cape Ann was an absolute treat but it was Anna's hospitality, kindness and sense of humor that will keep us coming back to Lanes Cove House. Perfect place to spend a few nights while touring Gloucester Harbor or taking the short ride to Rockport. Can't wait to go back.

We wanted quiet, out of the way of the busy touristy summer cape crowds, but beautiful beaches, friendly service and serene surroundings. The Lanes Cove House was perfect. Anna, our host, was kind, funny, helpful and above all an immaculate housekeeper, not to mention she makes the best scones ever. Though you need a car for most activities, there was plenty to do, great restaurants, beaches, hikes and parks to explore then a wonderful place to come "home" to.

Anna at Lanes Cove house was an absolute delight. Breakfast was great and plentiful. The house was clean and very inviting. I loved the DVD lending library to be able to wind down in the evening. My room had a beautiful view....

We had a wonderful, peaceful 4-night stay at Lanes Cove. Anna has exactly what it takes to be the quintessential B&B hostess, with her warm & welcoming smile upon arrival, happy to accommodate & anticipate our every need, and is fun & interesting to talk to, as well. We loved our clean, quiet and cool green room, from the comfy bed w/ soft sheets & extra pillows and all kinds of extra toiletries; loved the granola and made-to-order scones and coffee/juice breakfast on the back deck and beautiful view of "her" cove; made use of the common room w/ high-speed internet and phone (cellphone service can be spotty here - NOT Anna's fault!). We would most definitely stay here again if presented the opportunity. She gets an A+!
