We decided to try a stop in cape cod during the winter and stayed overnight at the inn on the square. The hotel is charming and comfortable. It is located at the top of the town square (thus the name) and convenient to everything in town. Falmouth itself is really a little treasure. It has shopping restaurants and quite a few activities. The hotel hotel had a great restaurant in it called Percy's place. The menu is very extensive and the portions are more than generous. There is also an indoor pool which was warm and clean. This hotel is just what you think of when you picture a cape cod inn during the winter-- warm and cozy. The price was also very good--69$

We stayed during the off season and it was quiet and peaceful. Rooms were large and clean, staff was amazing and location was perfect. It was a short walk to downtown with numerous restaurant options, right next to the Shining Sea Bike path, and across from a bike rental shop. We walked downtown to shops and restaurants rented bikes and bike to Woods Hole, and walked to the bus station and went to Boston for the day. The beach is also very close. It was also the most reasonably priced hotel in the area. We loved our stay at The Inn on the Square.

The Inn on the Square is in a great location in Falmouth: seconds from the Peter Pan Bus terminal, blocks from the bike path, blocks from downtown, and across the street from a great coffee joint. It is a good value for the location, especially during the summer. You will not be disappointed in the quaintness of the hotel. They have excellent service and genuine care about the guests. There is a good breakfast place on site as well.

However, don't expect tons of bells and whistles. It is a clean place and a good hotel.

The Inn on the Square has a great location and some good features, but keep your expectations to a minimum. On the plus side, the room was clean and comfortable with a refrigerator and coffee maker, and wireless included. On the minus side, the night staff were clueless, toiletries provided are just ok, and the room was somewhat noisy with a lot of noise and light coming in from the hallway. On the whole I'd stay again but not for a special occasion or if we wanted a better standard.
