“Excellent B and B, and quite a view!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 16 November 2011

This is a fantastic Bed and Breakfast, with the most amazing views of the Sound, overlooking Martha's Vineyard. The location is great, and the accommodations were top notch. Jan and Howard are wonderful hosts, with lots of information about the area, including restaurants ( the good ones and where to avoid), sightseeing diversions and how to get around on the Cape. We stayed for 4 nights, in a 2nd floor room overlooking the Sound, and it was glorious! When we are out this way again, this is where we will be staying! Thank you for your outstanding hospitality, Jan and Howard. Keep up the good work!

Room Tip: Select 2nd floor, with a view overlooking the Sound

“Really nice B&B - will come back this Summer”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 November 2011

We stayed at The Inn on the Sound this past October for one day, but really enjoyed our brief stay. The room was nice, although staying in the Deer Pond room, you can hear a lot of voices in the morning, since the room is next to the hallway and stairs. The room itself was very comfortable, and Howard and Jan were great. Jan's home-cooked breakfast was excellent! And, the view from the fron porch of the bay and ocean was beautiful! My wife and I have already decided th return this coming Summer so we can enjoy the ocean when it's warmer.
Thank you Howard and Jan - it was great!

“Superb!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 November 2011

This is a great place - the view is wonderful (directly on the water), the rooms are really good and the hosts Jan and Howard go right out of their way to make you feel at home. We stayed 3 nights here and we could easily come back and spend a week. With a car you could use this a base and visit different places on the Cape, including the islands. We have never been B&B people but the Inn on the Sound changed our mind. And the breakfasts were great too. Highly recommended.

“Amazing!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 27 October 2011

This was our first stay in an American inn and it was wonderful. Howard and Jan our hosts were so hospitable and did everything to make you feel welcome. Our room (The Green Harbor Room) was everything you could wish for and more. It was so clean and bed and bed linen were of excellent quality. We stayed for 2 nights and would have liked to stay longer.
Breakfast was delicious, with an excellent array of homemade granola, fresh fruit, homemade muffins and a dish of the day created by Jan. So much thought had gone into everything, there were even beach towels in a beach bag in our room. Both Jan and Howard were so knowledgable about the area and gave us good advice on anything we asked.
We would love to return here one day. Inn on the Sound is wonderful, stay and you will find out for yourselves!

“Just beautiful”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 26 October 2011

I recently spent two nights with my friend at this amazing inn in Cape Cod. After reading all the reviews and experiencing it for myself I can truthfully confirm it is exactly what is written. Howard and Janet do an outstanding job of making sure each and every guest leaves feeling pampered and well rested. The rooms are decorated to perfection and the breakfasts are simply to die for (especially the cooked special of the day). We left there feeling most rested, delightfully spoilt and inspired by some of Janet's recipes she generously shared with us to take back to Australia. On the morning of our departure the weather had turned and we were heading by bus to Hyannis to catch the ferry across to Nantucket. Janet reading my apprehension of the whole idea of trying to get there with suitcases in tow in the rain kindly offered to drive us there herself. A very gracious host indeed. Howard also picked us up from the bus stop when we arrived which was gratefully appreciated as well. The hosts and staff of this inn do it in exceptional style, you will leave feeling very well treated indeed.
