Several family members spent 3 or 4 nights at the Inn at One Main while attending a recent family reunion. While rooms might not be described as luxurious, they were large, clean and comfortable. Traffic is very heavy at a complicated intersection steps from the front entrance to the Inn. Shuttle buses and trucks heading for the Woods Hole ferry rumble by. With the windows closed and the a/c (window unit) on, we had no trouble sleeping. Our large, Turret Room, on the second floor featured a queen bed and a single bed tucked into a corner which would work well for a family traveling with a child. While the bathroom was squeaky clean and included all of the necessaries, the shower stall was about as small as I have ever seen.
Breakfast is served at a large, long dining table which facilitates friendly conversation. While the food was excellent, the coffee was so weak that it gave us the giggles. We had to trek down the street for real coffee after the meal! The owners are so pleasant and accommodating that we decided against speaking up about the coffee.
The location makes this a good, central base for exploring local attractions and is an easy, pleasant walk to downtown Falmouth.
There is a "For Sale" sign hanging at the entrance and new owners may make some changes. I do wish the present owners best of luck in the future as they really are lovely people!

My friend and I had a lovely mini vacation at the Inn at One Main. I wish our stay could have been longer. The innkeepers were lovely and helped us with dinner choices, etc. We had a second floor front room that was perfect for us, with a double bed and a single. It even had a small tv for my friend who is addicted to some tv shows. In the hallway is a laptop where I could check email. The inn is a short walk into town, and Falmouth is a lovely town with so many wonderful shops. Our breakfasts were delicious and conversations with the innkeepers made it a truly relaxing experience, one I hope we can do again soon.

I selected The Inn at One Main in Falmouth on a recommendation from our Inn keeper on Martha's Vineyard...I am so glad I did! My teen aged son and I traveled for 3 weeks this summer primarily in Massachusetts and the Inn at One Main was one of the best places we stayed.

Ray met us out front and helped carry our luggage in from the taxi. He even wanted to carry my large luggage upstairs. I booked the Sunshine Room for 3 nights. A sweet room painted yellow with 2 twin beds with a private bathroom across the hall... perfect for my son and I with plenty of space.

I was worried about traffic noise since the Inn is the corner house on Main Street. We didn't hear any noise during our stay and slept so comfortably.

The trolley to Woods Hole picks up and drops off right across the street and you are in walking distance to all the wonderful stores and restaurants on Main Street.

What made this trip to Falmouth absolutely wonderful was Christi and Ray. They are just the most genuine and nicest couple you will ever meet!

Ray was so nice to play chess with my son. They offered to drive us around town and even gave us the use of their cell phone when we rented a car for a day trip on the Cape. My son and I never made it to the beach because we preferred talking to Ray and Christi and looking at their wonderful scrapbooks.

Besides using their cell phone, a hall computer is set up for guests and my son used the opportunity to e-mail home and stay in touch with his dad who could not make this trip with us.

I am not much of a breakfast person yet could not say no to any of Christi's wonderful meals. We were served a different hot item each morning (blueberry pancakes, quiche and french toast) plus fresh fruit served in beautiful goblets. On our last morning, my son and I had a second helping of the french toast and Christi even packed some blueberries and cookies for our travel that day.

We took a picture out front of the Inn with Christi and Ray for our own scrapbook....Thank you for a most memorable visit to Falmouth. We hope to return and we will only stay at the Inn on One Main, why go anywhere else?

Lovely stay in early August at the Inn at One Main in Falmouth. Innkeepers Christi and Ray were wonderful...Large, airy room on first floor with jacuzzi, tv, a/c. Thoughful touches in room - andes mints, shampoos/conditioners and soaps and lotions. Delicious breakfast served in dining room. Extremely convenient location just a short walk from town/bike rentals/bus to ferry.
