“Idyllic Inn”

My husband and I stayed here during our road trip around cape cod, and we thought it was so sweet and beautiful. We stayed in a room on the second floor that had a completely unimpeded view of the ocean and Martha's Vineyard across the water. From the inn, it was less than a 10 second walk across the road to the beach. We were here in the fall, so it was during the off season, but everything was still so gorgeous. The staff was courteous and responsive, and the room was adorable and well maintained. We had dinner at the pub downstairs and it was delicious. Downtown Falmouth was less than a 5 minute drive away.
I would recommend this inn to anyone! We will definitely be returning here next time we are in massachusetts.

“A fine seaside experience!”

As we are English,we were intrigued to find out what kind of job The British Beer Co. would make of a "typical English pub" and I have to say, the jury is still out on that one, especially serving cole slaw with fish and chips, every Brit knows it should be "mushy peas"!
However, the rooms we had at the Seaside Inn, suite 201, were top notch! We were warned that, because it was situated above the pub itself, it could get noisy, and maybe at the weekend it can, but we stayed on Mon/Tues. so it was quiet. The rooms, bedroom(2 x king-size), bathroom and kitchen, were excellent. They were clean, beautifully appointed and supremely comfortable. The private deck was overlooking the sea-front and Marthas' Vineyard in the distance, ideal for people-watching with a glass of wine.
We were very impressed with the young lady who was the evening receptionist, didn't get her name, but she answered many questions regarding American customs and way of life, eg. "what is a tag-sale?"
We enjoyed a decent meal in the pub and self-catered the second night in the comfortable and light kitchen. As for the authenticity of the "British" pub, it was a good try. Having been in the "real ale" business ourselves in England, we feel that they would benefit by having their own micro-brewery and doing the job properly. That said, we would happily recommend room 201 at the Seaside Inn to anyone.

Room Tip: Ask for one with a sea-view!

“Only for the beach..”

The hotel was nice and clean but could use updates. The beds were hard to sleep on. The tiny television was located up in a corner you could barely see. The people at the front desk were not nice, bordering on argumentative with prices. Standard priced rooms are extremely small. The wait at the BBC next door was horrendous. The only plus is the beautiful beach across the street.

“Beautiful Location and Great Value”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 14 August 2011

We spent just a night here after coming from MV and on our way up around the rest of the Cape. It's located in a stunning area, just a block up from the water and the view over the ocean (although we didn't have a view from our room), was spectacular. There is parking for one car per room right in front of the room.

It was definitely more of a motel feel inside. Very basic accommodations, pretty uncomfortable bed, old TV and very small bathroom and shower, but we still felt for the price we paid, especially on the very expensive Cape, that it was a very good value.

The lady at the front office was very nice and helpful. They have a pub connected to the inn and it was surprisingly good. Great service, good drinks and the food all looked good (but we didn't eat there).

I'm not sure I would have stayed here for longer than a night or two as it really doesn't have the amenities, but it serves at a great home base or stopover spot.

“Great Get-A-Way”

Spent 2 nights at The Seaside Inn. Room was just the standard - but was more than adequate for the 2 of us. Extremely clean and comfortable. We were in the same building as the BBC - but no issues with noise. (Of course we needed the AC.) Wished we had a refrigerator in our room, but the staff was very obliging with getting us ice for our small cooler. Hot water in the shower was a bit unpredictable - but that was our only complaint. We will gladly revisit. Loved that the beach was just across the street - not too crowded either. The British Beer Co was great for lunch, dinner and just drinks. Falmouth/Woods Hole area is a nice place to visit - definitely less crazy than the rest of the Cape!
