“great location, bad accomodations”

This B and B looks nice from the outside but inside it is tired and smells like an old house. The room we had was spacious but hadn't been cleaned in a long time. We received no daily services such as clean towels, emptying of the waste basket, making of the bed, etc. The breakfast the first day was a plate of deviled eggs and boxes of cold cereal and juice and coffee. The second day there were scrambled eggs that had clearly been sitting on the table awhile and were ice cold. The third day there was a nice quiche. This place had such potential but I would not recommend it nor would I go back.

“Not great for the price”

We stayed in a larger room on the second floor and found the decor very worn, the room large but really not very upscale. The bed was comfortable, however the bathroom was low-end (sliding glass doors on the tub!) and the TV was a very small flat screen on the wall with cords just handing down and running around - it was just not very nice given the hefty $279 we paid for that room. Breakfast was nothing special: continental (we did not see any Blueberry French Toast!), with just yogurt, pastries, cereals and Keurig coffee. I've had better free breakfasts at low-end hotel chains. Great location, but this is definitely a worn-out establishment.

“We loved the breakfast, great location too”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 July 2011

Service was great, double baked blueberry french toast was an outstanding breakfast. The main house could use some updating but the service & breakfast put that out of your mind. Great location on the corner of the town green in Falmouth, less that 1 mile to beach. Easy walk to shops & restaurants, ample parking.

“Great little Inn”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 27 July 2011

I stayed here solo while on the Cape for a wedding. Jean, one of the innkeepers, was extremely nice and helpful. The inn is right down the street from the village of Falmouth and an easy walk/run to the beach. My room was tastefully decorated (nice antiques, no crazy knickknacks) and the bed was really comfortable, something I have a hard time finding in most places. My only caution is that the room I had, the one off the side porch, can be a little dark. Next time I'd opt for an upstairs room.
Breakfast on the first day was stuffed french toast and fruit; the second, quiche, cereal, fruit and bagels. I was invited to eat on the side porch and it was lovely.
I would definitely stay here again. It's very laid back, quiet and convenient.

Room Tip: A 2nd floor room will probably be sunnier.

“Good location but decor a bit tired”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 20 January 2011

Good location overlooking village green. Good parking. Convenient to walk to restaurants. Good location too to catch bus to Martha's Vineyard. Lovely homemade breakfast. Decor was a bit tired though but very clean throughout.
