“Pleasant stay, friendly folk”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 25 December 2010

We stayed in the owner section of the resort. As a vacation spot, Cape Cod is much more laid back than other places. Do not expect 5-star hotels, instead enjoy the fact that you are in a very nice place. (Just make sure you are parked heading the correct direction, they'll ticket you, as we learned the hard way.)

With this warning about the ambiance, we had a very nice stay. We had a single bedroom suite with a queen-sized bed. There were two full baths. (I liked the nautical themed wallpaper and curtains.) The living room had a sofa sleeper. Both the bedroom and the living room had older televisions The bedroom had a whirlpool bath which we did not use. Instead we used the heated whirlpool in the indoor pool area. The galley kitchen had the essentials for cooking. The stove was full-sized; there are larger refrigerators, but this one worked for us; the microwave had a popcorn setting, the counter top was small (I did say it was a galley kitchen), and there was not a dishwasher. Every day they replaced the coffee packs we used. The kitchen table worked for two, but for four if would be cramped.

Because we had a one-bedroom, we did not have an ocean view, but what the heck, I have two legs and with a jacket on all I had to do was cross the street to take a walk on the beach. If you head down the beach, you can find where an annual race ends.

As it was November, I appreciated the fact that there was a heated indoor corridor to our room. Using the same corridor, we could walk to the indoor pool. (In November, the outdoor pool was not open.)

We purchased our food at a Stop and Shop about 8 minutes away. (If your local home supermarket is owned by Ahold, e.g. Giant or Martins, let the cashier know when you check out, we got the local discounts you'd get as if you had a Stop and Shop card.)

If you go to the office area, they have a computer you can use. We rented their modem connection. They do not have wifi in the rooms.

The people who work here were friendly. We enjoyed our stay. I'd stay there again.

“Nice Spot on the Cape”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 December 2010

The good: Nice location at the start of the cape & right on the water, got the 1 bedroom which is very nice sized room & big deck and well equpped kitchen. Staff was very nice. Nice area to walk around in right on the water. Very good price off-season. Stop & Shop within quick ride.
The OK: Pool and hot tub were to cool to enjoy. They probably turn it down off season. Hall ways were noisy with kids running up and down although we were almost the only ones there. Its not a close walk to town as some reviews implied.

“Loved it!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 15 September 2010

We totally enjoyed our stay at Inn Seasons Surfside! There is not a better location on the cape as far as we were concerned. Our room was ocean front (a plus) but we would have been happy with the Great Pond view as well. The staff was very helpful and pleasant. Our room needed a new coffee pot and one was sent over pronto! We hope to go back again, we are time share owners and we booked this via Interval.

“Disappointing compared to others”

My wife and I recently stayed at the Innseasons Resorts Surfside. My parents stayed back in the fall and loved every minute of it, so we figured it would be great too, but we certainly had some pros and cons to this visit.

First off, we are timeshare owners, which obviously must put us in a different category that we weren’t aware of. Upon check in, we asked if an upgrade was available, and we were told they were sold out. Off-season? Well, maybe. We were then told our room was ready and it wasn’t (in fairness they told us we could check in an hour early), so we went back to the front desk and told them that the bathroom (toilet and sink)was still dirty and so they said they’d go clean it. We then mentioned we’d consider paying for an upgrade and WOW! All of a sudden rooms were available, for $100 extra dollars! What? So we said we’d wait for it to be clean. We went out for a few hours, and returned to find out it still wasn’t clean. We called over to the manager who said things were “overlooked.” It made us very concerned about the rest of the room.

The rest of the room appeared clean, but upon further inspection, we noticed a dried blood spot on our sheets, and my wife’s socks were black from walking on the carpet. While unpacking, my wife had the light on in the bathroom, and the shade there was drawn. What a surprise to see an opening between the window and shade so large that I could see completely in there, look at the full mirror and see my wife, and shower, clearly from outside!!!!

The next morning, we went to take a shower, and the faucet in the tub was basically coming out of the wall, and water was pouring out of it. Water was barely coming out of the showerhead either. Plus when we used the conditioner on the wall, it sprayed out all over the shower curtain instead of our hand. We took all this in stride. Then they have a clothesline in the shower. We pulled that out and that was stained too.

The sink had absolutely no room to put anything on it, and on our final day, my wife was using their hairdryer and it just stopped working. It eventually worked for a couple seconds, then it shut off again. This happened 3 times! We blew a fuse three times?

We are not very picky people, and many others may have checked out upon reading this. We chose to take this in stride and make the best of it, mainly because we weren't there most of the weekend.

The pros: the property itself, indoor pool, the grounds, and location are amazing. It is located about 5 minutes from most things and attractions in the area. The area and beaches are beautiful by the way.

The cons: DO NOT stay in a studio. You get what you pay for I guess. My parents were upgraded for free. We obviously were not, but they are not timeshare owners. (oh but they got asked to buy into it) maybe that was why.

We have stayed at other Innseasons with no problems and many other resorts with great results. After this stay, what we experienced seriously makes us think twice about things.

“Great stay for little money”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 28 February 2010

We where looking to stay at the cape for our anniversary in Feb. Most places where closed for the season or way over our price range. Then we found Surfside. We only paid 89 dollars for a studio with an ocean view. The room was clean and comfortable, the view was great, staff was extra friendly and the Jecuzzi in the room rocked. We also swam in the indoor pool which was quite pleasant. The only notable inconvenience was the free wi-fi which requires you to rent one of their "boxes" at 5 dollars a night. Not a big deal but deserves mentioning.
