Let's review the best Italian restaurant for the money in Falmouth. Landucci's is located in a non descript hotel down the street from the village but that is where the negatives end. We usually sit in the lounge area where the locals hang out. The bar staff is friendly and efficient and often times the owner/chef sticks his head out of the kitchen to greet guests. Angela, who is the hostess and seems to be in charge always stops by to check on us, which is very nice especially in these days of pressure cooker restuarants. For starters, the martini's are perfect and a great value, too! The cheese and cracker appetizer is a meal in itself with aged Italian cheeses for $10, but I get that if I'm going for drinks only- same with the best calamari this side of Cinqua de Terra. Soon the warm bread arrives with a delightful oil, garlic aand black olive paste that I could eat all night long. The wife orders chicken saltimbocca and I go for the eggplant parm or other specialty of the house. We could just split an entree but we like to have leftovers to bring home for lunch the next day which makes me enjoy Landucci's twice as much.
Lot's of reasons to go here and I didn't even tell you about the real thin crust pizza made with OO flour-the type of flour that that is used in Naples! Molto bono!
