“Dont Believe Everything you read”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 February 2012

I found the Comfort Inn Fall River online. Besides the pool it said it had, there was also a restaurant listed as being attached. When I asked about it the front desk clerk was confused until he looked at the website. The restaurant was gone and had been for about five years. The hotel itself wasnt bad, just a little isolated. Didnt use the pool because there was a family that stayed in the pool or lobby for about five hours. Just hanging out, never went to a room just stood there or used the pool. The mother was hanging around with a cigarette dangling out of her mouth, in a 100 percent non smoking hotel. IF you are going for a one night business trip this is probably the place for you. There are a number of restaurants that deliver and the front desk has menus. There is nothing in walking distance. A short drive will get you something to eat.

Room Tip: They have suites listed. Only saw one room and it overlooked the parking lot.

Thank you so much for your feedback regarding our hotel. I have gone ahead and shared your comments with the management team and every effort will be done to ensure that we have accurate information on our website and follow up with the pool regarding smoking. Restaurants within walking distance are on the timeline and we will update our website once this occurs.

“Very nice experience at this hotel.”

My son got married in Oct. 2011. The wedding venue was only about 5-6 minutes from this hotel....so I decided to take a drive down with my husband to check out the hotel a few months before the wedding. The people at the front desk were wonderful. They provided us with all kinds of info about the hotel, booking rooms for our out of town guests, and places in the area that would be useful to us and our guests. We mainly worked with Kelly Costa who was wonderful...very informative, and very professional. We were also going to rent out the function room and she let us go up to look at the room, which we used for the after-wedding get together for our friends and family, and this was a plus....the staff made sure that all of the food deliveries were sent up to the function room and set up for us....and hotel also provided, coffe, tea, cream, and sugar free of charge!. The guests rooms were very nice and bed was comfortable. The breakfast that is complimentary was great and all of our guests enjoyed it. It was definitely a great choice to stay for the weekend wedding that took place. Each time that I called and spoke to Kelly or Kate (who is the manager), prior to the wedding,....they were both so pleasant and made sure to arrange everything as I requested. I would like to thank both of you for making our stay there such a pleasant one, and helped to alleviate all of the stress that comes with being the mother of the groom. There was a former Manager by the name of Richard, and fortunately by the time we came to stay at the hotel, he was transferred, and Kate took over.....she was much easier to deal with is so many ways. THANK YOU AGAIN to the staff at the hotel...including the housekeeping staff.

“Nice place. Good choice.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 22 November 2011

You don't have many options when it comes to lodging in this area. But this Comfort Inn was a good find. Nice, clean room. Great service during a very late check in. Good quality bedding and resulting sleep. Great complimentary breakfast. My experience has been "hit & miss" with Choice Hotels. But Comfort Inns are typically a good bet. And this one was a good find.

“Good and clean!”

Stayed here for one night while visiting Boston and Battleship Cove in Fall River. Not a very easy place to find, esp. in the dark. Rooms were clean, with a good size fridge and microwave. Pillows were a bit lumpy. Breakfast included make-it-yourself blueberry waffles (a little different from the standard complimentary breakfasts), yogurt, pears, hard-boiled eggs (served cold), scrambled eggs and sausages, coffee/tea/juices. For under $100 (plus taxes), it's good value.

“Clean, Comfortable, Affordable, Well-Located - But Flawed”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 August 2011

My family And I stayed here for 5 days recently (August 2011).

We chose this venue as a central points for trips to Boston, Cape Cod and Newport.
It is centrally located for all 3 and highways are incredibly easy to access from this point.

Rates are quite affordable for the New England as Fall River is somewhat of a 'less-desirable' area. The hotel is located in a newer business-park area

The Check-in staff was friendly (and had a fresh baked cookie for each guest).
Check in with our online reservation took only a minute.

Our room was slightly smaller than usual, well decorated and clean. Coffee Maker, Blow Drier, Iron & Board, TV with cable, and a small refrigerator were all provided

Beds are comfortable enough but have uniquely small pillows. Typical Bathroom PLUS an exterior sink make it easy for two people to get ready simultaneously.

AC worked well and kept us comfortable on a hot summer night

My 11 year old was especially excited about using the pool each day before our day-trips and in the evening when we returned. The pool is clean with clear water but a bit shabby around the edges (the bottom surface is pretty chipped, towels were small and ran out after a few days, area is poorly lit in the evening). As website states, Hot Tub is not working

Free breakfast daily was typical and plentiful at 7:30AM each day: waffles, eggs, sausage, muffins, doughnuts, cereal, fruit, bagels, toast, yogurt coffee, juice. Breakfast area is small but had plenty of seating at earlier hours.

The hotel appears to be used as housing for low-income/displaced families. The children from these families are a bit boisterous during breakfast. They also were a hindrance to using the pool when they swam en mass (throwing decorative rocks into the pool, running in and out of sliding glass doors etc)

There is an odd odor (as another reviewer noted) near the pool are/ fitness center. It is a strong Cinnamon smell and really bothered my wife (who is, admittedly, fairly sensitive about smells)

There are no eateries within walking distance and a nighttime excursion into Fall River (about 5 minutes away) landed us in an unpleasant/possibly unsafe area.

I am typically low-maintenance and don't need much from a hotel room. However, I was slightly disappointed in the quality of this particular venue. It did have a good location, friendly staff and was clean enough but was under-whelming otherwise. I might stay here if I was in the area on business (due to the price) but we've decided that we will not stay here again on our next New England vacation.
