WOW...is the best way to start this review. We booked our wedding at the Winnetu on Memorial Day weekend and it could not have gone any better. Nicole the Event Planner went over and above to make sure everything was perfect down to the last detail of our day. We had the wedding ceremony at the Edgar Town lighthouse and the Winnetu had van service and the wooden bus to take everyone back and forth from the location. For our stay at the Winnetu we had a luxurious room on the top corner with unbelievable views of the ocean from our double balcony. The reception was at The Lure restaurant at the Winnetu and the food was amazing. Our guests couldn’t get enough of it and the staff even wrapped the extras for us for a wonderful after party reception we had in our huge room with our remaining friends.
The pool was clean and heated so the kids were able to enjoy it over the weekend. They especially liked the fire truck rides, the ping pong table and the countless outdoor activities that they had available for them to enjoy while the staff served them cookies!
The hotel had a shuttle that we took advantage of to pick us up and drop us off at the ferry as well as to take us to town for dinner and shopping, making it easy for us to not to bring a car. (They even organized getting our ferry tickets for us)
On the last night of our stay for the weekend we wanted to go out for dinner but the kids had all fell asleep after dinner we made in our room for them exhausted from a long day of shopping and swimming and walking on South Beach. When we called the hotel front desk to ask if there was delivery of some sort and explained our original plans the desk quickly connected us to the chef at The Lure restaurant who took an order of food from us and delivered it right to our room! (They don’t offer room service so this is how well they treat their guests)
We wanted a special place that we could have to celebrate our wedding day and it could not have been better than our stay at the Winnetu. We will be going back for years to come.

We are getting ready to make our reservtions for next summer, We really like this place and can't wait to return there. The resort is beautiful. Excellent staff. The location is great. We love being right near the beach and the children really like the daily activities.

My husband and I went for a nice long weekend over Columbus Day. We were fortunate to catch extraordinary weather and we were so happy with the accomodations and the service that we rented more rooms and invited my sister and my daughter and her boyfriend down to join us. The weather and the Winnetu were too good not to share. Our stay at the Winnetu was simply perfect from start to finish. We have been going to the Vineyard for more than 30 years and have stayed at many of the island's hotels and bed and breakfast, but my husband and I both agree that it was our best vacation since our honeymoon in the early 1980s. The Winnetu was beautiful and the customer service was phenomenal. Everyone on the staff was exceptional, all friendly and efficient. It was truly an exceptional stay and I can not wait to go back again next spring. The Winnetu has totally won us over and will see us every year. We enjoyed our stay so much that we extended our stay and ended up staying for five amazing days.

We booked a King 1-bedroom Suite in the main hotel. It was very nice. Very functional with a kitchen and fridge. The only thing we wish is that the bedroom would have been on the side facing the water instead of being on the side closest to the door. It was for the most part clean. The only thing we noticed was that some of the towels had brown stains on them. They looked like they had been washed but that the stains didn't come out. However, they gave us enough towels that we just searched for the ones without the stains. Our room included breakfast buffet. The service wasn't very good there and we didn't go back. The location is fantastic - just a short walk to South Beach which is a gorgeous beach. Some fun things are they have free s'mores night by a firepit. That was really fun. We liked having a kitchen and fridge.
