My husband and I have been staying at the Town Crier for over 15 years. If you want a clean and reasonably priced place to stay on the Cape--it's the ticket. Easy access to great eats, hiking, beaches, and bike trails, too. And did I mention CLEAN? Cleanliness is a huge issue for me--and the Town Crier is squeaky and spotless. Everyone is very friendly, too. A cute and charming place!

I use this motel for extra company and have for over 15 years..it is always clean and the pool is always warm......I do not understand some of the previous reviews of this property.....this place is not a 5 star motel it is a family run small slightly dated property in a great location with good staff and an inpensive breakfast.....well priced

Clean, basic room. pool was clean- it is covered /screened. We did not have the breakfast buffet- there are plenty of good local eateries. This was our first trip to cape cod- good central location- able to whale watch in provincetown and explore the parks and beaches. great location for cycling, right next door to arnolds casual restaurant- a great local fish eatery as well as delicious ice cream.

We ended up at this motel because we were overbooked at another place in Orleans and got bumped. The person at that motel recommended calling this place.

We needed a place for one night over Labor Day weekend (Sat) and thus stayed there. At $141 including tax, I am not sure how much of a value it is since I don't have an idea for comparing other motels. I was ok with the price since others seemed to charge around the same.

It was definitely clean and the receptionist was an older lady who was very nice. The location was a plus since we were going to hang out at First Encounter Beach which was only 2 miles away.

The evening of the stay,we were also able to drive to Provincetown which was about 28 miles away. Coming back to the hotel, the buffet breakfast at $8 is again a subjective value given that the food is not very good. However, if you want food without leaving the premisis, it's an ok choice. There was hot water, a working A/C, Cable tv, a small fridge and microwave.
