“STAY AWAY FROM THE RUDEST PLACE ON CAPE COD”

DO NOT GO HERE!! This place booked 30+ rooms for my hotel weekend and then cancelled two months later because they were closing early for the season due to construction, attempted to rebook my guests and fell through with that. THEN we found out last weekend that they decided to stay OPEN for the season and never called us to apologize or let us know they were opening! We didnt find out until we saw a guest walking into the hotel last weekend!! To top it off, we found out today that someone from their hotel went over to the other hotel who graciously provided rooms for our guests and begged the hotel to send our guests back to them!!! This is perhaps one of the most disrespectful and pathetic things I have ever experienced. They have the most repulsive customer service and their manager is has no clue how to run a business. They are now owned by a large hotel management group and are not the same local friendly hotel they used to be. I would never ever step foot near this property again and neither will our friends and family who were scammed by their employees. STAY AWAY!!!!!

“Absolutely the Best!”

Ignore all the negative reviews. We spent the weekend and couldn't have asked for a more enjoyable stay. We stayed in a first floor renovated studio and were incredibly impressed. From the hard wood floors to all the cape cod nautical details, it was five stars all the way. The lobby is gorgeous, completely redone. The staff was wonderful. Complete work will be done in 2013, but don't wait until then for this little slice of heaven!

Room totally dirty; a view directly to the working place of the new building
golf green vanished, old pictures which don't fit the reality
i had the impress to be in jail with fences everywhere, even around the pool (very old and bad conditions) and near the beach
the only things nice were the parking lot and the reception

“Can't Please Everyone!”

I have stayed here twice. I knew what to expect. I am a VERY picky person and like things clean. Yes the rooms are old. Yes they are musty. Yes they need work...BUT I must say our room was very clean. I came prepared with a bottle of lysol and febreeze. We were on the second floor with a great view. The front desk ladies were VERY nice. The location is key here! I mean how much time do you really spend in your room? It's right on the beach!!! They even provide chairs down there! I will admit if we return we will request one of the newer units. They are coming along nicely! It's hard to go on someone elses review on here. You just can't please everyone!! Give it a try!

Room Tip: Ask for a newer unit or a room on the second level.

“Up and Coming Resort!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 25 August 2011

After reading the mixed reviews, I was somewhat nervous as to what to expect. We got there late (9pm), and upon arrival we were very impressed with the Registration Building and Lobby. Newly renovated and very attractive. We had to pass by some new units (look like condo rentals) to get to our building and they looked beautiful as well (big screen TV's over a gas fireplace). Our building (as I expected) was the older one. The rooms were basic and outdated. We had an efficiency, with a futon, 1 Double bed and 1 Single bed, a stove top, larger dorm size fridge, microwave, coffee pot and basic dishes/utensils. Unfortunately, they were building a new building directly in front of our unit (within 10ft or so), so our view to the pool and ocean were blocked. My brother-in-law's room was directly in front of the pool and overlooking the ocean. His had a King room, but had no coffee maker (He was not too happy about that). The porch area however had chairs, so you could sit and enjoy the view. Very nice! Overall, we enjoyed ourselves here and can't wait to see what the new units are going to look like. Our building is being torn down soon and will no longer exist. The beach was nice to sit and relax on and the lounge chairs were free to use. We received a placard however, regarding rentals of watersport equipment, and chair rentals was on there. I suspect that once it gets rebuilt, you will have to pay to use the chairs. I plan to research them next year, to see how the rates and facilities change, once the renovations are complete.

Room Tip: Once renovations are done, this will be a beautiful place to stay!
