“Event a huge success”

I recently booked a day long business training event here. I was pleased with all aspects of my experience. The room was ready and set up was complete. The staff was friendly and extremely helpful. Lunch was surprisingly good...salad was crisp, bread was fresh, soup was hot and the food platters were attractive and well prepared. I would not hesitate to hold an event there again. The hotel itself is undergoing renovations, some of the areas show wear and tear but upgrades are underway so this venue will only get better with time.

We are from a non-profit organization that serves disabled adults. This was our first time coming to Coco Key. We were a bit skeptical about the number of cars we saw in the parking lot and immediately became anxious about manuvering wheelchairs in a water park. Once inside we were immediately greeted by an employee from Human Resources who wore a big smile. He oriented us as to what we needed to do. Once we found a comfortable spot for our guys, we solicited the help from the young lifeguards to help one of our handicapped guys in the water. Both Jimmy and Nick were absolutey great! Though the electric chair was not working at the time, these guys simply lifted our individual into the water. They told us to just let the lifeguard know when we were ready to leave. We also were assisted by two angels Danielle( supervisor) Lisa (lifeguard) who did not hesistate in getting wet to help us get our guy into the lazy river. We've never seen such compassion shown during one of our outings and just wanted to say "Thank You". Sincerely Alex and Tania (Bridgewell employees)

“You would think this review is a horror story. Don't come here!!!”

I'm sixteen years old. I spent yesterday and last night at Coco Key in Danvers with my parents, sisters, and baby brother. All I can say that this is the worst trip I've ever been on. When we arrived we went up to our room, which was just like any other average room. We asked for a handicap room with extra space.. Except we were unaware that we would be right next to the elevator listening to it go up and down late into the night. There was also no refrigerator... This is the first stay we have ever had without one. Waterpark isn't anything special. In the morning we went to the hotel restaraunt. The food was pretty good. I was happy until our baby vomited on the way out and the only person that helped us clean it up (with napkins) was a woman at another table. Waiters as well as managers kept asking us to get out of their way, no one stopping to help or tell another employee to get cleaning supplies. Stopping to get water at the market in the hotel, we paid with a twenty and all they had was $3 in change so we had to wait 10 minutes for the rest... With a sick baby. This morning we left a couple hours early because we felt there was no point in staying and the staff was very disrespectful. I do not recommend this place to anyone with multiple children. I will never go back here and I will talk badly about it to everyone I know.

Thank you for your feedback. We greatly appreciate the opportunity to improve our service. We do our best to honor our guests’ requests regarding rooms, and I am sorry that the location of your chosen room-type was not to your liking. Although we are happy to provide our guests with refrigerators, our guestrooms do not currently include refrigerators. We are very glad that you enjoyed the food in our TradeWinds Restaurant. We are sorry that your baby brother was not feeling well and that our staff was unable to make this challenging time easier for your family. I would be happy to personally make your next reservation for you. Please call me directly at 978-750-7901 or email me at matt.doucette@cpbostonns.com when you are ready to return. Thank you again for your feedback.

“Horrible experience”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 22 January 2012

Our first experience was a dirty and stinky lobby bathroom. Then could not find our room, no directions either from staff or on the wall as in most hotels/motels/resorts. The rooms are outdated, at least for what we are used to. The patio door was drafty. Then we get to the water park and are told we were supposed to get our wrist bands at check in, which we did not. We have to walk back to the check in desk where we finally get them. Take my 2 1/2 year old to the water park and the lifeguard tells us that he is big enough to go down the "kiddy slide", so we listen to her and send him down. It was so fast I could not catch him and he chokes in the water. The same lifeguard looks away as my son goes under and chokes. I ask her if there is anything in the park he can go on and she says "the big slides" and that there are lifeguards on the bottom if needed!!!! We take him to another spot where he can just kick his feet in the water and 2 boys (about 8-9) fill their mouths with the water and spit it out where my son was playing. I requested a full refund and left immediately. Not appropriate for anyone under 4!!! My son was nervous and clingy the remainder of the night and next day!!

Thank you for taking the time to provide us with your feedback. We sincerely apologize for the challenges you encountered in locating your room, during your check-in experience, and within our water resort. Rest assured, your feedback will be shared with our leadership team and associates. We do take pride in our hotel and water resort and appreciate all feedback that helps us to pinpoint areas for improvement.

Our Water Resort is geared towards children ages 2-12 and we do have special sections reserved for children at the extreme ends of this spectrum, such as the Dip-In Theater for children under 48” tall. Floating down the Lazy River on an inner tube is another excellent attraction for young children to do with their parents. We do hope that you will give these attractions another try soon. Thank you again for your feedback we hope your son is feeling better.
