I booked two rooms at this Hampton Inn recently because we needed a decent place to stay overnight during my Mother's wake and funeral.
As this can be a difficult time, I found the staff sensitive and accommodating. They seemed a little more on top of things than the typical hotel.
The rooms were large and clean. I did find that my allergies were triggered by something in the room that night; though.
Again, breakfast in the morning was a little bit better than most hotels.
Overall, we found this Hampton Inn to be "a notch above" most.

We visit Chicopee each year while attending the Amherst Train Show. And we always stay here. Service is great and the rooms are quiet.

The hotel is just finishing up a complete renovation which should make it even better!

Accomodating. Friendly staff. Clean. Hotel is under construction and their website states it will be done by Feb 1st, but doesn't look like it will be. This was not an issue. Only issue was pool was cold and it was occupied by several kids most of the time that were accompanied by an adult who either encouraged their horse play or had their noses buried in a magazine or eletronic device. If we had to make a suggestion it would be to offer a better brand of basic tea. There is a variety offered at the beverage area, but the basic everyday tea tasted like hot water and cream even after steeping it. Not a lot to complain about! Nice hotel! Happy wth our choice for the Train Show!

This Hampton was recommended for the annual Amherst Railway show, but we needed a place on a trip from Ontario to the Maritimes and chose this as Springfield was about 1/2 way. A good choice - except for the tour of the shopping mall parking lots it takes to get there from the turnpike. Friendly staff, free evening clam chowder, free varied breakfast. Room was clean and beds were comfortable. We will be back in January for the railway show.
