“Best Layout”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 15 May 2012

I loved the layout of the room, and the furniture. One could even watch TV from the bathroom!
The kitchen had all the essentials needed for light cooking. Coffee is available anytime you want it. It is easy to get to Boston unless you are driving during rush hour, and easy to access points north thereof.
It was a bit difficult to get to the hotel the first time, since it was on a hill that required taking some back roads, but OK once you know the way.

“WARNING”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 22 April 2012

This was supposed to be a girls (mother daughter) spring break mini-vacation so I booked a room 25 miles away from my original choice just for what selections I put in said that Candlewood Suites offered, namely breakfast. First off there was no breakfast, just a small area with shelves and coolers and prepackaged foods you have to BUY, although I had put in selections for hotels with breakfast. The hotel was undergoing carpet replacement so there was construction workers from 8am to 6pm and the floors were ripped apart with a strong smell of chemicals being used to glue down the carpet along with cut pieces of wires all through the hallways. Neither the hotel website or Orbitz said anything about construction. When we got into the room, There was a large greasy hand print across mirror, dirty dishes in the cabinet and a severely broken drinking glass with no sign of the piece that was broken off, the bathroom had toilet paper stuck all over the vent to the shower area as if someone tried to cover it. I was unaware until I was already checked in that the maid service is only weekly so I never did receive a clean room and had to retrieve my own towels and Sheets which were not supplied for the fold out bed, although the front desk rudely told me they were in the closet.....there was a single fitted sheet....no pillows, no top sheet and no blanket. I will NEVER stay with ANY hotel in the ICHOTELSGROUP again.

Room Tip: Pick a different Hotel and completely different company of hotels, NOT ICHOTELS group

“certain rooms are good”

We stayed at the Candlewood Suites with our two young children for one night. We asked for a quiet (upper floor) room. The woman at the front desk could not have been more pleasant to deal with. We really liked her. The hotel has 4 floors. The top floor is the smoking floor. Because we asked for a quiet room, we were put on the third floor, with no one in the room above us. When we got to the room it smelled of smoke so badly that we couldn't even stand to be in it, let alone have our kids sleep there. Our room was changed easily and we moved to the first floor. The trouble is, the person above us walked around in shoes till 12:30am and then got up at 4:45am and did it again. The room set up was great. The beds were comfortable enough. The problem for us is that the hotel is definitely not quiet. You can hear the footsteps of the person above you easily. The smokey room seems like sort of a sad problem for a hotel to have. Its ridiculous that we were even given that room after asking for a non-smoking room. There's no way that Candlewood doesn't know how bad that room smells. Odd. Still though, they were super nice to us.

Room Tip: ask for a room with no one above you (they didn't have one when we were there, other than the ra...

“Affordable but no frills”

This was our second and third stay at this hotel. We found it served as a decent location for exploring Boston and the surrounding area. There really isn't anything special about this place, but nothing terrible either. We had absolutely no issues the first few nights, but on our return visit before our flight home, we got booked a room right next to a group that was throwing a party all night. It was difficult to get any sleep, but in the hotel's defense we didn't complain to the front desk as it didn't seem worth the trouble of having to move all our stuff to a different room. Because of the generally good location and affordable value for the greater Boston area, I'm sure we'd still consider staying here again on future visits.

Stayed 1 night October 2011. Good location across from the Burlington Mall with easy on/off of Rt 95.
Room was large enough but a full size bed. can't complain was only in the room for a few hours to sleep. Had small kitchenette that was well equipped.
Housekeeping is limited espec. on the weekends.
A good value for the 79.00 per night.

Room Tip: Top floor away from noise above your head
