The Westgate is an older but servicable hotel in Brockton. A nice room with a comfy bed. The staff at the front desk and at the lounge were very friendly and hospitable. The lounge was cozy but quiet for a Saturday night and they were closing up shop when we arrived. But, they still served and welcomed us. The pool and pool furniture was a little dingy and the hot tub was closed. The hallways were worn and could use an update. The continental breakfast was standard, nothing to exciting. For the price, the Westgate provided exactly what we needed for a BIG NE Patriot Weekend.

We were in a room by the freeway. Clean but old & smelly.wll paper coming off the wall. when I walked in I wanted to walk right back out. Reservations could not be changed. I would never stay here again

Having read other reviews we were very concerned after booking here with Hotwire but in stark contrast to those reviews we found a clean, quiet and comfortable accommodation. The place has been renovated and is being well managed now. We found nothing to complain about and were very pleasantly surprised. Staff all courteous and helpful, furniture comfortable, lobby spacious and inviting, rooms very satisfactory. Overall a very pleasant stay and we look forward to returning.

I spend about 45 nights a year in hotels...

Staff was excellent, but the place was a dump. Stairwell smelled like urine, carpet was old and disgusting, furniture in rooms was warn and broken, the entire place had a bad odor, mostly of smoke.

You get what you pay for, I booked for $40 a night for a two night stay through Hotwire. I checked out within an hour of checking in and Hotwire refunded my money, gave me a voucher for my troubles and found a much nicer hotel for me. Hats of to Hotwire!
