The elevator was broken, the rear exterior door was inaccessible, and overall the hotel and room looked very dated and/or unkempt. I asked for some sort of concession because of our complaints and the unmaintained state of the hotel. Nothing was offered, except the instructions to take the issue up with the manager who was not present. I elected not to do that.

I believe this was previously a Holiday Inn (Brockton). The hotel was undergoing refurbishment however was OK for basic accommodations. The pool and fitness center was closed.

The first room I went to was very smoky but the 2nd room was fine. The room was clean and I had no problem with noise. The wireless interenet (showed Holiday Inn) and was very fast.

The front desk was helpful and OK. There is a continental breakfast provided (rolls, bagels, juice, yogurt, coffee).

I rate the hotel 2 stars is that the hotel had an "cheap motel" vibe and their appeared to be several extended stay families staying there. While I felt safe and there was no problems/issues, it definitely did not have the "Corporate Business" or "Family Vacation" you would associate with other Holiday Inn (or 3 stars) facilities.

Please believe the bad reviews. I did not and paid the price for it. The Staff was unfriendly. The first room smelled of smoke and the staff put up an argument before he would move me. The bed had two 1/2 Pillows. I mean it - the pillows werea actually half pillows.The towels were exfoliating (extremely hard and rough). The entry hall on my side of the building smelled of urine . No Restaurant. No Pool.

It also appeared to be the residence provided by the city for the local homeless.

I paid online and booked a two queen size bed since there was a total of 4 of us. The Staff gave me my keys and I went into the room and it was a king size bed. I went back to the lobby and talked to the staff told them there was no way all four of us would be able to sleep in a king size bed and that I ordered a two queen she said they were all out which means they over booked. I bought the Hotel in a month in advance. She said we could give you your money back, or they could put a sofa bed in the room and we could look at it. So I went to look at it and the sofa bed had nasty stains and tear marks on it. One of the staff members said they had one more but it wasnt any better. I said I wanted to look anyways. I did and that sofa looked a little better but way uncomfortable for the price I paid. They didnt give me any sheets or blankets for it had to ask for those. My two year old son slept on the sofa bed with me and ended up waking up to the airconditioner blowing black crap all over our bed. Very bad service and everything they say they have they dont. No lounge, no pool, no excercise room. The whole Hotel stunck so bad. In the shower the Hot water and cold water was switched which scolded me. Top it all off one of the staff said this happens all the time to those that book online. So I will never return to this place again and suggest no one else as well.
