We were fortunate to have received a gift to stay at the Ashley Manor in January 2012. What we envisioned prior to our visit was confirmed by the warm and hospitable welcome of Pat and Vince. Upon arrival we were given a tour of the downstairs and then brought upstairs to our room, The Canterbury Suite. The suite was spacious and equipped with a fireplace (with a firelog already to be lit) and a whirlpool bath. The attractive furnishings included beautiful bed linens and plenty of room to relax. We dined at The Red Pheasant in Dennis, which was excellent, and upon our return, were greeted with a bottle of champagne and two complimentary champagne glasses. The following morning we had a snowstorm and, while we wanted to do some exploring of the Cape, we were tempted to stay put, as did some of the guests, to enjoy the hospitality and comfort of our surroundings while watching the snow fall. Breakfast was always delicious and plentiful. In addition to the main entree, there was always fresh fruit and freshly baked goods put before us. We found the mid-Cape location to be especially convenient to either end and, even in the dead of winter, found plenty to keep us occupied.
We are looking forward to returning to the Cape, most likely in the fall, and need no other recommendations of where to stay, we plan to return to Ashley Manor. We liked it that much.
