We arrived around midnight only to have the front desk tell us our card was declined. I asked what they meant by that and they showed me proof, it was not my card but Travelocity's. After working on this for 2 hours and calling multiple people and customer service nothing was resolved. We decided to work on it in the morning. We got to our rooms and the one bed had a very large soaking wet area, too tired to care since the staff kept us up until 2am. In the morning the front desk told us that the card was solved and all we had to do was pay them $8.77 in cash to get the room, this made no sense since everything was paid for through Travelocity but they said there was an "additional fee." We paid although we are pretty sure we were getting nickle and dimed. We also contaced the front desk telling them twice we were going to be checking out fairly late, they acknowledged and accepted that. When we got back to our room to shower and pack up, the front desk was hassling us, knocking on our door, calling our room, saying they were very concerned that we were still there and that they were contacting the manager. Feeling rushed and with no privacy we quickly packed up and left to avoid a confrontation. We left the room and especially the bathroom in a very dirty state since we were given no time to clean. On the way out the front desk was complaining about the state of the bathroom and the minor clog and slow draining of the shower, the front desk was telling us that housekeeping would be unhappy. My thought, we aren't paying you the regular price and an extra $9 for you to complain about housekeeping, cleaning the room is their job and we would gladly have picked up and cleaned if the front desk gave us the time. I am never staying at a East Coast Days Inn again.
Also the frontdesk took a copy of my friends debit card, the day after we checked out, fraudulent charges were found on the card.
