We enjoyed a luxuriois romantic weekend at this beautiful B&B tucked away near Columbia, MD and BWI airport. The Joshua Barney House is the beautifully restored national historic landmark less than 40 minutes away from home. We loved our room--plush towels and bathrobes, very comfortable queen bed, private bath and sitting room. Susan, has done a wonderful job restoring and decorating each of the guest rooms, the entry foyer, formal living and dining rooms, library and patios. An impressive collection of Antique grandfather clocks are located throughout the home. Outside, we enjoyed the flowers blooming everywhere around the lush 7 acre property. With the luck of having beautiful weather, we were able to take our breakfast on one of the garden patios and enjoy friendly, funny and lively conversations with Susan. She also gave us several recommendations for restaurants nearby along with great directions. Our hats are off to Susan for operating such a lovely historic landmark and for her ability to make us feel right at home from the moment we arrived until we reluctantly returned to the real world. She is a terrific Innkeeper with the keen sense of how to make her guests feel welcome, happy and comfortable. We will be back for another visit, hopefully very soon!
