generally we have come to like residence inn's because of the kitchenette. no oven in most rooms.

the bed is fine on the firmer side. the lighting is good. the AC/Heat is not too loud.

no luggage racks. do they assume everyone is staying for a while and plans to unpack? A nuisance to put luggage on the floor or a table or the couch.

also the breakfast on the day we were there which we were told was not typical (had to do with the person preparing it). was not good, seemed a bit sloppy. saran wrap partially removed on the jelly. just not that clean or appealng. also no bananas or apples which we have had at other residence inns.

also we were on the third floor and the hot water was very intermittent.

We stayed here going down to the outer banks.. rooms were very clean and spaciuos, would recommend

Its a nice place to stay if you have the opportunity. We have stayed here multiple times. No complaints.

Did a long weekend here, and felt absolutely at home. Service at front desk was courteous and efficient (check-in and check-out took a total of 3 minutes, if that long). Room was well laid out and clean, kitchen was nicely arranged and equipped, and wireless worked right away. Certain items were not supplied -- dishwashing soap, for example, but the front desk will get some. (And hey, there is a Walmart/Target about 1 mile away). The included breakfast (make-your-own waffles, scrambled eggs, cereal, etc) was surprisingly good (or good enough, you know, if you need to get a family going and don't want to cook or hit an iHop-style place).

The hotel (and the town of Salisbury) is nicely located near major highways if you are stopping off while making a long trip, or taking in the nearby sights such as Ocean City, Crab-eating ventures, Assateague/Chincoteague Parks, or the Delaware beaches/malls. This was our second time staying at the Residence Inn in Salisbury and we were quite pleased. We will definitely stay there again.
