The Inn is immaculate, well appointed and convenient to shops, restaurants and marinas. Best of all, you feel like it’s yours! We stayed in the Heron Room which has a private screened-in porch overlooking the Haven Harbor Marina. Two comfortable chairs and a small table on the porch made for an idyllic spot for drinks. We also strolled down the long, private dock to admire the view from the benches placed so conveniently at the end. And we sat on the expansive deck just off the Great Room. And we sat in the library to check out the books and brochures. Needless to say, the owners have worked their magic to convey a relaxed and completely welcoming environment. We felt free to roam and sit where we pleased, enjoying every minute. The Swan Haven is wonderful and compliments the good nature of the town. You can feel the years roll away with every lap of the water.
Things I particularly liked were; central air-conditioning, a small fridge near the landing of our room, warm hard-boiled eggs – fresh from a farm – at the abundant continental breakfast, books in the library and DVDs for the huge flat screen TV in the Great Room (if we had a rainy day). And the owner, Ben, is one of those genuinely nice guys - you just have to smile when you meet them.
