This was a good stop off point for us. The rate for friday night was expensive for what you get. The hotel is older. You could smell smoke in elevator and hallways. Pool was OK the floor was very slick kids fell a few times. Probably wouldnt stay there more then one day.

I found this facility clean and spacious. We got there when all of the hotels (and motels) in the area were booked solid. We were able to take advantage of the manager special because we are Priority Award Members,
Food at breakfast was plentiful.
Service was exceptional.
Cost was a little higher than what we expected but all other things made up for it.
Restaurants are nearby, Wal-Mart and other stores for convenience purposes.
Historical sights available and carnivals were being held.

First ever stay at a HIExpress. The King Executive suite with sitting area/sleeper sofa was sizeable, large bathroom and inroom wetbar area with fridge, microwave, sink and more than adequate storage. Super Convenient dinner options ( Ruby Tuesday, KFC/Taco Bell right next door as well as other options within walking distance.

Downside: Superloud, possibly drunk, rambuctious guests in adjacent above and to the side rooms created VERY unpleasant sleeping conditons throughout our 1-night stay. My 2 traveling companions were also amazed that nothing was done to quiet them. I work the next morning itchy and red from the sleeper sofa which blossomed into my first ever afflcition of contact dermatitis which was diagnosed by my doctor after my return home. I decline posting photos so as not to offend. When I asked if anyone got any noise complaints that night, I was told matter-of factly 'no'.

Overall,...the room was spacious, the food choices many, the morning breakfast bar satisfactory...but that is it. OH,. and don't go near those sleepersofa

Visited on a company business trip with family. Painting/Remodeling done the week of reservations. Smell of paint was terrible. Had to change rooms several times. The customer care is not the best; but no other hotel to compete with Holiday Inn Express so I do not see a change in customer service changing anytime soon. The hotel is clean, and decorated beautifully. The business center has an older computer and is very slow--only one computer so access is limited; I suggest to bring your laptop. Breakfast has a nice selection (ie: cereal selections, eggs, bacon or sausage, biscuits, fruit, etc.) If you have any problems with your room do not expect anything to be done about it. I heard a couple tell the front desk that they have bad allergies and the heating/cooling unit had a lot of dust and needs cleaned and the front desk did nonething to try to fix the problem. We also had a problem with allergies and the front desk made it seem like it is the guest problem.
