Our stay was in an ocean front room on the second floor, nice, but I'd want to go higher (There are five floors.). The room and bathroom were clean and kept that way by the hardworking staff. The sliding glass door to the balcony had no screen door, a shame because the sound of the ocean at night was preferable to the loud rumbling of the through-the-wall air conditioner. The A/C admittedly did keep the room cool. We finally cracked the door a bit to escape the artificial noise; no problem with mosquitos. The "climb-around or crawl-under" partitions on our balcony made us a little uneasy; why don't the partitions extend low enough or out enough to keep our neighbors from possibly coming over to "visit"?
Indoor heated pool was very nice as was outdoor pool. If you have a first floor room you and the outdoor pool users can get to know each other; take a first floor room only to avoid a room in the streetside annex with the parking lot view.
The "free continental breakfast" offered in the office lobby is absolutely dreadful; ghastly plastic wrapped bagels and muffins that taste like sweetened cardboard, bad coffee and so-so juice. Rodeway should abandon this "perk" or expend just a little effort to put out better food. Indeed, why not just include a free voucher, say, $3 per guest at the McDonald's across the road for breakfast items that are far more edible( We stayed at a HoJo's in St. George UT that had multiple cereal choices, oatmeal packets, fresh fruit, bread and English muffins for toasting plus decent coffee, Twinings tea and juice in a small but pleasant breakfast room, all at a most reasonable room rate.).
