“Reservations are RUDE”

I was very excited to have found this place onine but am thinking twice about staying here now. I have had to call back 3 different times to just to ask questions because each time I feel like I am limited to asking one question and even that is a bother to the person on the other end. Every single time i have called the person answering the phone was extremely rude! I told them I was completely unfamiliar with the hotel and was just trying to get some information and they acted like I was bothering them. When I asked about availability they actually told me they would have to call me back another day to make my reservation???? I have never heard of such a thing! I am very disappointed because I was really looking forward to staying here but due to the terrible customer skills of thier reservationists I do not know if I want even want to now. I will leave another review if I do decide to stay.

“spectacular rooms and great views”

We stayed here a few weeks ago as part of our honeymoon and we had such a good time!
When we checked in we were received with two glasses of sangria which were quite delicious. Then we were taken to our room and my husband and I were blown away. We stayed at the safari room and it was huge! The bathroom was gorgeous, the bed was comfy, the jacuzzi was big, and the view was to die for. The hotel is located on the bay side of ocean city which in my opinion is better than the beach side anyways. I really enjoyed waking up every morning and eating our breakfast on the balcony. We spent a marvelous time at the pool which was never crowded and enjoyed getting more of that awesome sangria. It was literally steps away from the restaurant which had a lot to offer. We would love to go back and stay at one of the other rooms to get a different experience. Overall I was impressed with the room and the location.

“Large Suites w/ Great Views”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 July 2011

The Edge Suites are a great place to stay in Ocean City if you are looking for spacious rooms w/ great views. The Hotel is located far enough from the crowds of the Boardwalk but close enough to some of Ocean City's highlights. As a part of the Fagers Island complex, there is a foot bridge that goes directly to the restaurant.

The hotel is a boutique style hotel that has a very private feel. The rooms have floor to ceiling windows with panoramic views of the Bay and the 60th Street Bridge. Most rooms have an in-suite jacuzzi and the bathrooms are large with walk-in showers.

The staff is very friendly, however, guests should know that this is not a 24 hour full-service resort. The front desk and room service are available until 11PM each evening.

The only reason that The Edge received 4/5 stars is because some of the room features were a little dated (carpet, window treatments, etc.) and since the suites have floor to ceiling windows, not all of the windows have blinds/curtains. This means that the rooms are VERY bright at about 6AM.

Otherwise, if the Edge would make some renovations and updates to room fixtures (especially the blinds) I would give it 5 Stars. Still one of the best places to stay in Ocean City.

“Beautiful view, quiet, terrific location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 18 June 2011

My husband and I stayed here for Memorial weekend. The setting and views make this property special, but there are some quirks. The suites are large and bright. The twenty foot ceiling is terrific and the wall of windows looking out on the water is beautiful. However, all of the windows did not have blinds or treatments which meant the room brightened as the sun rose. We were very surprised that the upper windows did not have blinds and you may want to ask about this when booking.
There were many nice touches in the room and at the pool - water and soda stocked in your mini fridge and at the pool in coolers, candles lit at night and the fireplace turned on for when you returned from dinner. The "breakfast" is small (a piece of fruit, some grapes and a slice of coffee cake) and really only keeps you from getting hungry until you can go out and get breakfast. If they cannot access your room on their schedule to leave the breakfast, you will not have the breakfast for the next day.
Several members of the staff were very friendly and eager to make sure we had a great visit. A couple were not as eager to be helpful.
The location is great. It is a two block walk to the beach and just over a footbridge to dinner at Fagars Island.
Overall, we would stay here again.

“To die for!”

Decided to go to the Edge for our 10th anniversary. Everything was perfect! Greeted with mimosa's. We stayed in the Bahli. Beautiful views of the bay. A must for a romantic weekend. Had an awesome dinner just a walk across the bridge at Fagers. Walked in there as VIP. :) They will even drive you there in a golf cart if you'd like. Evening turn down service with a godiva chocolate left on your pillows and all the candles lit. The walk in shower was nice, it was glass so you could see through it. The jacuzzi tub overlooks the bay. The small balcony was perfect for the two of us. We had the best time we've ever had together this weekend. Felt like you were in your own paradise. Definitely didn't feel like you were in OC. Continental breakfast was just that. 2 slices of a nut or fruit loaf, OJ & some fresh fruit, still no complaint! It's a little higher than I would normally pay but this was so worth it and Im glad I did. Can't wait to go back! HIGHLY RECOMMEND FOR ROMANCE!

Room Tip: They are all the best!
