Spent one night this past weekend, tubed and coastered one day and went skiing/boarding the next.  The hotel was booked solid and crowded, but the front desk was very helpful and patient around check in time.  They encouraged us to go and get our rentals for the following day and put them in our ski locker which was included with the room.  Great idea, Because the next day we woke up,  ate some breakfast we brought from home and hit the slopes first thing!  The room was nice enough,  the three kids slept in the main room area, and my husband and I slept on the Murphy Bed which was surprisingly, very comfy!!  Bathroom was standard, and new, and the towels were large and plentiful.  For the price it really was great!  We did not eat dinner at the resort as it was pricey and there was an hour wait, so I looked on TA and found the number one restaurant (Mountain State Brewing Co.) was only two miles away.  Very good, so good in fact, we returned the following night!  Also, the mountain coaster is not to be missed! Have fun!!  We will be back. 

If you are looking for a great, fun, reasonable place to take the family skiing this winter, then you need to check out the Wisp ski resort in Deep Creek Maryland. My wife, four children and I go every year and save lots of $$ over most other local resorts. They have a heated pool, juccuzzi tub, and great local reastaruants!!! The skiing is very good as well. Well worth the drive!! If you go, you must try out the Santa-Fe Grill. Enjoy!!

This is our 2nd stay at this hotel and we booked their $59 pp midweek madness package that included 1 night's lodging and lift ticket for the following day. We were given a "suite" room that had a separate bedroom and a living room area with murphy bed. It completely suited our needs traveling with our 10 year old.

Quality wise, it is not luxury by any means; but it does the job for a great price. They have made some upgrades but it's an economy/moderate style hotel. We had a tower room with an excellent view of Squirrel Cage and The Face. Customer service was great too. The pool is a nice feature and is quite large for an indoor hotel pool. The one downside is the ridiculously TINY hot tub (which wasn't hot either). They should seriously consider investing in enlarging this hot tub. It's probably a 6 person tub.

Overall, we enjoyed our quick stay here and would definitely recommend and stay again.

We spent Martin Luther King Weekend here up at Wisp, and had an amazing time. Luckily, it snowed most of the time so we had wonderful fresh snow. The place was so much fun for kids and families. We had kids of all ages (3-10) and they all went to ski or snow board school. The instructors were great. The snow conditions were excellent for all the adults who got to ski together while the kids were in ski school. The restaurants were good and very reasonably priced.
