“I wish I had read the reviews”

The room was nothing like the pictures. I was expecting a room similar to the Hampton Inn and the room was not as nice as a Motel 6. The construction was shoddy, and the room looked liked it had been partied in many times with the number of repairs in the wall and ceiling. The bed was way too firm for my liking and I like a firm mattress: for my wife it was unbearable. The room has basic cable, and the bathroom reminded me of a sparse college dorm. The temperature of the shower had a mind of its own. There was no housekeeping service for the 2 days we stayed. The carpets were heavily stained in the corridors, less so in the rooms. The windows were filthy, and the lobby smelled like dirty diapers. There was no trash can in the room, a coffee maker but no coffee cups, no hair dryer, the corner chair was broken, and the refrigerator was dirty. The room cost 89 dollars per night and was not worth half that. We will never stay at this hotel again.

“I would not rate this hotel a 'do-over.'”

This was my experience:
Upon arrival, the 300 pound clerk in sweats hacked and snorted her way through my check in. She admitted having the flu and, sure enough, I got to spend my first week churning through tissues and cold medicine.

OK, we don’t expect the Ritz, but here’s the pros and cons relative to other business hotels:

Pros:
Convenient location near the base. Key worked. Apartment-size refrigerator. Two-Burner stove.
Dishes to prepare a meal for two. One-time fee for Wireless internet – good as long as you stay.

Cons:
Housekeeping and fresh linens only one day per week. No clothes hangers (yes, I tried asking). No shampoo or other toiletries upon arrival (shampoo available at front desk upon request). No dish soap (available upon request). Poor temperature control for heater. Want in-room coffee after day 2 - better buy your own coffee and filters. No TV remote (available upon request). TV is a 21” CRT, No HD here, 5 ESPN channels, 2 Showtimes, but no CNBC. No fitness center/pool (gym up the street is complimentary). No restaurant. No loyalty program to earn points. Stained and dirty carpets in hallway and room. Very blah décor. You can’t fit the room key in your wallet.

I’ve had worse stays, but this hotel just didn’t live up to the minimums I would expect when travelling on business. Just realize what you’re giving up next time you try to save your company a few bucks.

“Hostile welcome -- not worth $105”

We had a reservation for several weeks and arrived at 12 midnight. The lobby desk was closed down with an accordion partition pulled across the counter. We dialed a number, as indicated, on a phone in the vestibule for help. After a curt reply, a sour young woman in stocking feet and sweatpants silently walked past us into the office behind the desk. Without turning on a light or opening the partition, she barked instructions and slid paper work through the 1/8 inch opening under the partition for me to sign. She was basically not visible and very hard to hear behind the partition. Not one kind word of welcome or apology or plain human courtesy was offered. She was miserable.

When we reached the room, tired and unimpressed, we found that the toilet would not flush. Rather than deal with our surly hostess, we just went to bed.

We noted the next day that the hotel has a "creed" posted right next to the front desk which states a number of items, such as: " treat guests as you would like to be treated" Among others.

The person at the front desk the next morning was very pleasant.
However, I would never return to this hotel. The accommodation itself was very basic with outdated tv and amenities and the beds were uncomfortable.

“Mixed emotions: helpful staff, but ultra thin walls.”

I checked in late at night. My key card didn't work on the first go round, so I had to haul everything back downstairs to get the clerk to help me unlock my door. The room is comfortable but housekeeping isn't offered every day. It was a pain to have to trudge after clean towels and after a few days the room became dismal because of the pile of towels sitting unattended in the bathroom. The last night of my stay I got no sleep due to some night owl partiers that seemed to come alive at 11 PM and the noise was unabated until around 4am. I was literally too exhausted to complain and I was afraid to drive back to the airport in my sleep deprived state the following day but somehow managed it. Staff was friendly and helpful, but this was not acceptable lodging. It was no lie to say I heard everything that was going on in the next room.

“Only so-so”

This property was not well constructed so noise really travels in it. If the person across the hall shut (not slammed, shut) his door, the paintings on the walls of my room rattled. Do not book a room here if you're looking for a good's night sleep, because you won't get it.

Also, rooms are only cleaned once a week based on when your stay begins. Because I started out thinking I would only stay a few day and ended up staying a week, my room never was cleaned during a 10-day stay. I pointed this out to the front desk while the housekeeping staff was present, and the housekeeper refused to clean it because it wasn't on the schedule for the day. Because there is no housekeeping service over the weekends, the halls and lobby end up looking pretty seedy because no one is sweeping or vaccuuming. Someone spilled a drink in the elevator, and it stayed there all weekend.
