This property was not well constructed so noise really travels in it. If the person across the hall shut (not slammed, shut) his door, the paintings on the walls of my room rattled. Do not book a room here if you're looking for a good's night sleep, because you won't get it.

Also, rooms are only cleaned once a week based on when your stay begins. Because I started out thinking I would only stay a few day and ended up staying a week, my room never was cleaned during a 10-day stay. I pointed this out to the front desk while the housekeeping staff was present, and the housekeeper refused to clean it because it wasn't on the schedule for the day. Because there is no housekeeping service over the weekends, the halls and lobby end up looking pretty seedy because no one is sweeping or vaccuuming. Someone spilled a drink in the elevator, and it stayed there all weekend.

I was disappointed in the Extended Stay America in Lexington Park. The hotel does not seem to be well insulated, and sound really carries. It was not too bad when the hotel was not completely full, but at the end of my stay the hotel filled up with families whose nearby homes had lost power in the aftermath of the rain spawned by Hurricane Ernesto. At that point, the amount of noise in the hotel greatly increased and it was impossible to get any sleep.

The common areas of the hotels were also not kept clean. Some sort of drink that was spilled in the elevator remained there for three days. It proved to be impossible to get maid service, which is not provided every day, booked when it was needed over the Labor Day weekend.

There are better choices in Lexington Park.

Swtiched to the Extended Stay after a horrible experience at the Days Inn down the street. The Extended Stay is in an office building complex. The lobby was always clean, staff helpful, and rooms were impeccable and spacious. Great value for the price, especially in an area with limited choices in terms of hotels. Would stay here again in a heartbeat.
