We recently stayed at this Super 8 for one-night on 9/11 as a rest point traveling with a toddler. As a walk-in the night staff (12:15am) was very helpful locating a coupon that their property in a travel book we had which provided an excellent price. Breakfast which was included in the price had awesome hours 6-10am. Our 3rd floor room was a bit tight with 2 queens having a chair on one side between the bed and outside wall, a nightstand in between the 2 beds, a standard table with 1 chair and in-room coffee maker which we did not use. TV inside the wardrobe that actually pulled out and swiveled with decent channels and there was a no-cost safe and refrigerator in room. Microwave use was in the lobby.
The bathroom was basic with a tub/shower combo, toilet and single sink. When we checked in I asked if their had been previous complaints such as bedbugs and I was informed a few years ago the cleaning chemicals they used messed up the tubs as they had peeled some of the inside of the tub away. This said, the bathroom was clean as was the room.
I was given a choice of a smoking or non-smoking room and though I'm a smoker we prefer a non-smoking room. My only complaint with the room would be when we opened the window there were butts and ashes between the frame and screen that obviously had been there quite some time. However the room did not smell of smoke at all; and yes though I smoke I would have smelled it immediately and asked to be moved.
Breakfast was adequate with your choice of 2 cereals, oatmeal, pop tarts, individual fruit cups or yogurt cups, bagels with plain or strawberry cream cheese, danishes and donuts. Drinks were choices of 2% or whole milk, coffee which was provided 24/7, and oj or apple juice. The biggest complaint with this hotel would probably have to be the sitting area as it is right in the check-in lobby only containing 3 small tables with 2 chairs at each table.
This aside the hotel is 3 stories with stairs at each end, an elevator and even 2 luggage carts. There is a vending machine and ice machine on the 1st floor just as you enter the hall to the rooms. We didn't know when checking in; however they are pet friendly as their was 2 guests with well behaved dogs in the morn.
This hotel met our needs, and the morn staff was as just friendly and cheerful as the night staff. I would not hestitate to stay here again as a stop-over and would recommend it to others.
