Our reson to visit la plata was for a funeral. The best western was recommend to us as a place to stay. We found the staff great, the rooms well kept and clean. The breakfast was included and good. It was near any big box store or chain restaurant you could think of and within a short drive. The only negative is how you get to the hotel, but once we figured that out was a piece of cake. Overall, considering the reaso a great stay and reasonable price.

The hotel is sited ideally when travelling from Virginia to Maryland and on to Washington. The hotel is modern, comfortable and spacious and has all the necessary facilities. Restaurants are nearby and easy to find. The special feature of the hotel is the quality of the staff who are caring and considerate. They have all adopted the customer comes first attitude and will go out of their way to go the extra mile to make the stay enjoyable.

We stayed at this hotel september 3th in room 229.
The first impression is very inviting. Clean lobby, well organised. Room in shining condition.
In this room you have the choice of wifi or with a UTP cable that is present on the desk. The King bed and the pillows were very comfortable. We felt almost at home.
The breakfast is full and warm (scrambled eggs, sausages, belgian wafels). When we are in the neighborhood we will stay again in this hotel.

This hotel was excellent! Comfortable quiet rooms. Baked cookies at the front desk. There was a lit fireplace in the lobby with current magazines for guests to enjoy. Excellent breakfast area - the staff does a great job of keeping everything replenished and there is a bit of variety each morning (Scrambled eggs or omelets, bacon, link sausage or sausage patties, corned beef hash, Always available were make your own waffles, french toast, bagels, muffins, doughnuts, cereal, bisquits and gravy, Probably more I just can't recall). Coffee maker in the lobby also made hot chocolate and was available at any time. In the evening there were tureens of soup (Potato or chicken noodle on our visit). Staff was very friendly. All in all, they did an outstanding job here!

We stayed at this hotel for the first time and were greeted by 3 choices of baked cookies on the reception desk! A place to make our evening tea(or hot chocolate, if we desired) rounded out the nice little things that make a place welcoming. Room was clean and quiet and had lots of room to spread out with our stuff:-))..We were pleasantly surprised to see a full breakfast in the morning consisting of scrambled or boiled eggs, waffles, biscuits and gravy, sausage, yogurt and a supply of cereals. We will definitely plan our trips to see our PA family to stop here on our way up....it's a winner
