We are driving FL to NE and have stayed in three super 8 hotels during the trip. This is by far the most disgusting. TripAdvisor failed me since a few people said this place was renovated. It is NOT renovated. Everything is 20 years old and worn and dirty. The carpets are filthy and the halls stink. Beds are bowed from age and the stink when you turn on the 30 year old air conditioners will make your eyes water. Fellow trippers avoid this place like the plague!!!!!!!

This is a nice clean hotel but its inexpensive so it will attract large groups. We stayed the weekend for my reunion and noticed a bus there. Friday night was fine. Saturday night was a big difference - high school kids running up and down the halls screaming profanity until 2am. A group of kids were even getting high in the entrance to the hotel. You had to walk around them in order to enter the place. There are other places in the area that enforce the rules so you can get a good night's rest.

Visiting Havre de Grace area and spent 2 nights at Super 8. This motel is the basic Super 8 layout but is cleaner than the few others I have visited. Staff was friendly and helpful, room large and clean, comfortable bed, decent TV, microwave and small fridge, no noticable noise but I had the AC on and it may have drowned out anything else. I did faintly hear the train but not an issue. The location is on a busy street (US40) but convenient to town and walking distance to a nice new grocery store (Weis) and a local restaurant or 2, Burger King and CVS are across the highway. The continental breakfast is meager but standard for budget motels and served 7am-10am. Overall, my stay was quite nice and I would stay again when in the area. I considered it a very good value at $54+/night.
Note: I spent one awful night across the street at Best Budget Inn (NOT) before moving to Super 8.

The room that I was assigned was clean. However, the rugs were old, the furniture was faded and stained. When I pulled down the cover and sheet on the first bed, I found a human hair. The other bed was clean - no hairs. The staff was very helpful. Restaurants are very close and varied. Although I was near to the road, the traffic didn't interrupt my sleep. The bathroom was quite clean, the water hot, the towels were clean and in plentiful supply.

A very utilitarian place to stay. Not too expensive, pretty clean. I would stay their again.
