Stayed overnight for one night 12/17/2011. Very good service. Room clean as a whistle. Hotel had everything I needed and a Denny's restaurant was attached to the building for anyone needing a meal other than breakfast. (I personally did not but it is nice to know it is there.) The morning of Sunday, 12/18/2011 I had breakfast at the ground level breakfast area and I would like to especially commend the African American lady who was working in that area early that particular morning. I was there about 6:45 or 7:00 AM and had trouble finding a couple of things and had to ask her both times while she was working in the back where items were. The area was properly stocked and things were where they were supposed to be; I just overlooked the ones I was looking for. Both times I approached this lady she was all smiles, most helpful and the soul of graciousness. I hope she is recognized because my memory of her warm, friendly demeanor is what I carried with me as I left the hotel. She is the consummate PR person. I would definitely come back to this facility.

Stayed here for business access from highway. The hotel had everything we needed. The linens are upgraded and I love having the firm and soft pillows. Having four pillows is soo much better than the standard two.
The bathroom was spacious and clean.
Check in folks were super nice. One gentlemen who I ran into in the elevator confirmed that I was happy and had everything I needed.
Free breakfast is great. While I might tire of the same thing it is good for a couple of days.

Nothing special. Close to the airport. Easy to get around. Typical set up and amenities of an HI Express.

I've been traveling to this area for monthly on business for over a year now, and I always return to Holiday Inn Express BWI. I've actually tried other hotels closer to my work destinations in Baltimore and Virginia, but not all have the simple amenities that I enjoy at BWI. Because I stay for several days at a time, I like having a fridge in my room for food/beverages, and some hotels don't offer this. The room/location are quiet but offer easy access to freeways; I can easily get into downtown Baltimore for events but don't have to deal with the chaos of actually staying there. I can drive to a variety of restaurants and a very nice mall (with movie theater) within a minute or two (although there are a few restaurants within walking distance, too.) The airport/rental car area are nearby, no worries about getting caught in traffic when I have an early flight out. The staff is friendly and always make me feel welcome. My room is clean and my bed is comfortable (although the heater/air conditioner sometimes runs a little loud.) It's a basic place, not a fancy place (although it has been renovated recently.) I'm heading back to the area in another week and already have my reservations made. I consider this Holiday Inn Express my home away from home.
